52 Environmental information for the new SEAT Ibiza. Ecological driving Renewable materials Factory Thanks to our solar energy plant, CO2 emissions are reduced by 7,000 tonnes per year. Between 2010 and 2016, CO2 emissions for every car manufactured have decreased by 66% and energy consumption per car, by 18%. Automation of part of the process has succeeded in reducing the use of paints by 20%. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) emissions are also reduced by 86g per vehicle. Solvent-free wax reduces consumption by 92%. ECO tips: recommendations for a more efficient and ecological driving experience. ECO trainer: helps the driver to enjoy a more efficient driving experience, pointing out any unnecessary accelerating and braking. Presence of renewable materials like cotton, natural rubber and cellulose/paper in different parts of the vehicle. Air conditioning Using the new R1234YF coolant reduces global warming potential by 99.7%. Fuel tank Improvements made to the system help reduce the weight and volume of a full tank, without losing autonomy. CO2 Engines CO2 emissions are lower than 120g/km in all engines and diesel models carry the efficiency label A. The aerodynamic coefficient value is All EU6 engines have a Start/Stop & Energy Recovery system and comply with emissions legal regulations. Introduction of a 1.0l TGI CNG engine that reduces CO2 emissions up to 15% compared to a petrol engine. A modular configuration facilitates reducing the number of components and assembly parts, lowering the weight of the chassis. Integrating Full LED headlights and LED daytime running lights reduces electricity consumption and increases the headlights life expectancy output. Full compliance with the new noise regulations thanks to improvements introduced to the exhaust pipes and to the acoustic package. New tyres with a low rolling resistance reduce consumption by 5%.
