9 Hydrogen Storage and Supply (H 2 ) Bridging time during power outage depends on hydrogen provision (amount and pressure) Corresponding additional cost for extra hydrogen storage not significant compared to equivalent investment for batteries Weight: ca. 950 kg 200 bar: 150 kwh 300 bar: 200 kwh Automatic switching device 1200 Example: Space requirement for the hydrogen supply of a switching station with 16 kw power load and a backup time of 50 hours: Installation of 4 bundles each with 12 bottles (@ 300 bar) and automatic switching device Bundles will first be completely emptied individually, then switchover to next bundle will be effected Exchange of empty bundles without interruption No supply gaps
