OHG. Motor Operation and Maintenance: The following operation and maintenance guidelines for the Airetool cleaning motors must be met to ensure peak performance and long life. The motor must be connected to a filtered air supply at all times. The air supply hose must be the correct diameter in order to provide the proper air pressure and volume to the motor. An airline lubricator should be installed as close to the motor as possible. Use SAE 20 weight oil. Replacement motor parts should be primed with oil in the tool crib prior to being put into operation. Air supply lines and hoses should be primed with additional oil on systems with feet of supply hose between the lubricator and the motor to ensure that the motor is being well lubricated during initial operation. During operation, a sufficient amount of oil must be dispersed to exhaust fog from the motor while it is running. Motors must be supplied with drops of oil (depending on the motor size) per minute through the supply hose to maintain exhaust fog. When cleaning operations are completed, the motor must be flushed with oil before storing or left in an oil bath between uses.the tail hose on the motor should not be immersed in oil. Motor Assembly Notes: 60 Series Motors: When installing the rotor blades into the rotor, make sure the convex edge of the rotor blades are facing the center of the rotor. Page 3
