4 Information Introduction Please read this manual before using the equipment. Use, maintenance, or any other operation of the equipment must be done by staff trained for the use of this equipment and aware of any safety rules. While using the remote control (use, maintenance, installation,...) it is important to wear personal protective equipment. Warning POK SAS test and photograph systematically the equipment before shipment, and pack it with care. If equipment is damaged or not functional, you can ask us for equipment s pictures and solve the question with the shipper/intermediate. This manual been written for the remote control system. For more information about the monitor and its accessories (ex: diffuser), please read the documentation provided with the equipment. Please contact us if the documentation is not provided with the equipment. If you experience a problem that is not listed in the manual, please contact our technical support. It is important to read all documents provided before using the equipment. Failure to use, clean or maintain equipment according to instructions may be dangerous. Maintenance or cable operation must be done when the power is switched off. Please read the turn off procedure in this documentation. Use, maintenance, or any operation of the equipment must be done by staff trained for the use of this equipment and aware of the safety rules. Do not dismantle the equipment, the warranty will be void. Do not modify the equipment, it may not work or be dangerous for use. POK SAS will not be liable for any damage or accident caused by a improper use, dismantling of the equipment outside its workshop, and/or any modification of the equipment. Only POK SAS can ensure to dismantle and repair properly the monitor, its accessories and the remote control system. Usage Please respect the technical limits of the equipment. It is important to be informed of the any safety regulations relating to your environment before using the equipment. The equipment can not be used if any part is missing or damaged. POK SAS can not be held responsible for any accidents involving the use of the equipment if safety and usage instructions are not followed. 4

5 Information Warranty The warranty does not apply for damage caused by any of the following : - Improper use - Errors in installation - Negligence - Improper electrical connection - Mishandling - Ignoring Command Protocols - Poor storage - Use in dirty environments ( With chemical agents, electrochemical, corrosive vapors etc) - Maintenance and Repair of POK products can only be performed by a specialised and qualified personnel. The POK company assumes no liability for direct or indirect damages in case of equipment malfunction. The liability of the POK company is strictly limited to its equipment and in no case extends to any extra damages or interest. All repair and modification under warranty does not extend the time that the warranty is valid. The POK guarantee refers to Repair (Parts and labour) or replacement of parts that are deemed defective after a technical evaluation. 9 Usage Mise en marche 1 - Plug the power cable on the battery. 2 - Press the "ON/OFF" button on the receiver. A green light will illuminate. 3 - Unlock the General stop button and briefly press the green "ON/OFF" - Oscillation mode button. 4 - The light on the right lights up and shows the battery charge of the transmitter : Steady Green light: charge > 3,7 V - adequate Steady Orange Light : 3,6 V < charge < 3,7 V - weak Steady Red light: charge < 3,6 V very weak, shut off imminent. 5 - Once the connection has been established between the receiver and the transmitter, the left light will turn steady green. 6 - The remote controle is ready, you can use joysticks. If you have to change the stops, refer to page 12. 9

10 Usage Shut Down 1 - Press on the Red shut off button for 5 sec. The transmitter shuts off immediately and the LED lights blink red. 2 - Press for 2 seconds the "ON/OFF" button on the receiver. The green light will switch off. Transmitter recharging procedures 1 - Check the red shut off buton is pressed. 2 - Connect the 220/230V charger to the wall outlet and connect the "jack" connection cable to the transmitter box. 3 - Press the green power button (Oscillation Mode) and rotate the stop button under 5 secondes maxi. to start the charging procedure. 4 - The right light will turn green, orange or red depending on the level of the battery. Note : In Case of prolonged inactivity, recharge the batteries regularly (At least once a month) to avoid letting them discharge completely. 10

12 Usage Programming the stops horizontal range left - right 1 - With the right transmitter joystick : - Move the monitor progressively to the right as far as you can there until you reach the mechanical stop - Then move the nozzle progressively to the left as far as you can until you reach the left stop 2 - Repeat the operation, the turret should slowdown when it gets close to the mechanical stopping range. Programming the stops Vertical Range High - Low 1 - With the left joystick of the transmitter : - Move the turret up until it comes to a stop the controls are inverse pushing down on the joystick will mean that the turret moves up. - Move the turret down until it comes to a stop. The controls are inverse pushing up on the joystick will mean that the turret moves down 2 - Repeat the operation, the turret should slowdown when it gets close to the mechanical stopping range. /!\ If a mechanical stop is detected before the programmed stop, than this mechanical stop will be recognized as the new stop /!\ 12

13 Usage Flow Stream Adjustment Adjust the flow stream with the left joystick: - Move the joystick upwards to place it into straight stream flow mode. The movement stops automatically due to inbuilt mechanical stops of the diffuser - Pull the joystick downwards to place the turret in fog stream mode. 14 Usage Automatic Oscillation 1 - Press and hold the green button for two seconds, this will start the automatic oscillation. Once the turret is in automatic oscillation, the left LED light will blink Green/Red 2 - To increase the oscillation angle, move the right joystick to the right, The oscillation angle will increase and the LED light will blink Green/Orange. 3 - To decrease the oscillation angle, move the right joystick towards the left. The oscillation angle will reduce and the left LED will blink Green/ Orange. Stopping the automatic oscillation Press and hold the green button for two seconds to switch off the automatic oscillation. 14

15 Usage Erasing the programmed stops - Resetting to Zero Resetting the stops to zero is done with the aid of the power button ON/OFF on the receiver. Once the receiver is under power (ON/OFF button illuminated) Hold for at least 10 seconds the power button. All the learned stops will be erased. Revise the setting operations above to reprogram the monitor. Conditions to place out of service The following conditions will render the remote control out of service: - In case of an operational anomaly in either the receiver or transmitter. - During inspection or maintenance of the Remote Control. - In case of prolonged maintenance or inactivity of the equipment. - In case of transport of the Remote Control - In the event of disposal of the remote control. 15
