2 automotive resources Fairview Educational Services Ltd (FEDS) is a registered automotive training provider based at Fairview Motors, Hamilton. FEDS core business is the provision of distance learning materials and the delivery of full time automotive training. FEDS supplies automotive student workbooks and assessments to over 200 schools and training providers throughout New Zealand. The FEDS team have trained over 2000 students on site since 1998 and have established a strong reputation for providing relevant, student friendly and level appropriate resources. The majority of unit standards available count towards automotive apprenticeships and Vocational Pathways qualifications. RESOURCES OVERVIEW: 40 different units available (11 at level 3) 15 automotive packs available Numeracy and standalone units (schools can assess) Workbooks can be purchased for schools that teach automotive classes Schools have access to additional supporting resources on the FEDS website including: practice papers revision activities option to complete workbook review questions and practice papers electronically Web links to automotive You Tube videos Certificates issued to students when automotive packs are completed Boots and overalls can be supplied to schools at competitive prices NEW FOR 2017: Four additional units: Level 2: 21675, 21701, 21718, Level 3: (nb. units 240, 3856, and are now level 3 units) Four Level 3 Packs available: General workshop Transmissions/final drive Engines/emissions/air conditioning Brakes/safety systems TASTER UNIT: Unit (terminology) is available to purchase as a single unit for $75 Please note if an automotive pack is purchased when unit is completed $75 will be credited against the pack price of $295 AUTOMOTIVE PACKS FEDS has several automotive packs available that are designed to suit students in a range of motor and related workshops. Many schools deliver these units to students across different curriculum areas. 7 NUMERACY PACK Units: 15408/4261/21857/26623 The numeracy pack includes unit standards 15408, 4261 and with unit embedded within these three units. By completing these three units over a period of time students can use the numeracy activities as evidence for unit This combined pack of three workbooks (with one question booklet) covers four unit standards and totals 13 NCEA credits.
