3 Torque Multipliers Sweeney torque multipliers are the industry standard. For over 56 years we have set the pace for innovative products. From the 707 to the 787 and from the C-130 to the joint strike fighter, we have you covered. Simple, economical, reliable. Sweeney Aerospace Torque Multipliers are high ratio, multiple reduction gear mechanisms providing a means for loosening and tightening threaded assemblies that demand very high torque values. Each model is designed with an internal splined drive or square drive that connects to sleeve sockets which are specially designed for each application. Anchor pins are located on the back and/or front surfaces for versatility of anchoring. At the heart of the Sweeney offering is the model 8200, the multiplier of choice for commercial and military applications up to 12,000 ft-lbs (16,262 Nm). 4 Models 8112 and 8111 For moderate to heavy-duty torque solutions. Sweeney models 8112 and 8111 incorporate an automatic brake system that inhibits reverse torque from the multiplier s output being transferred to the multiplier s input drive. These models are also equipped with a primary input drive for high torque/low speed use, as well as a secondary input for low torque/high speed applications. 5 Torque Multiplier Accessories Sweeney offers a wide selection of accessories that increase ease of use as well as extend the range of applications. Slings are available for the 8100 and 8200 series of multipliers. These slings attach directly to the multipliers and aid in the lifting and positioning of the tools during use. Also available are work handles with extendible arms which provide increased leverage and ratchet adapters which turn a standard breaker bar into a ratchet. 6 Auxiliary Torque Multipliers The Sweeney 8202 series provides additional multiplication to make those difficult torque procedures even easier. 7 Electronic Torque Multipliers Sweeney electronic torque multipliers are compact and lightweight, and with digital read out, are designed to accurately measure output torque. Sweeney digital torque multipliers are each fitted with a display providing real-time torque feedback during operation. The 8300 series and 8210 have a fixed display while the 8510D and 8550D come equipped with a tethered full color touch screen display. The tethered display has internal memory logging each torquing application. The logged event can be exported from the device via , memory stick, or SDS card. A combination of spur and planetary gears with a high overall efficiency allows these models to have low input torque requirements while producing high output torque. 10 Ground Support Equipment Helicopter Maintenance Tools Hydratight offers Sweeney brand torque tools, anchor plates, sockets, work stands and maintenance hoists for several airframe and engine manufacturers. Propeller Handling Tools Hydratight s Sweeney brand of propeller handling tools are used for applying the correct torque to propeller shaft retaining nuts and engine thrust bearing nuts. Complete tool sets are available including sockets, rings and a work handle to safely and correctly complete propeller assemblies. In addition, a lift assembly provides an easy and safe method for handling propellers during removal and installation. 11 Torque Testing and Calibration Services Hydratight offers full service and calibration for many models of torque wrenches including all Hydratight and Sweeney branded torque wrenches and torque testers. We are also a manufacturer service center for many other top brand names. Most torque tools have an industry standard recommendation of a yearly calibration cycle. Hydratight recommends sending your tools in on an annual basis to be certified and serviced.
