New family replaces previous one and it introduces the new colours and stickers scheme for European market (dedicated Forklift news will follow sooner) that will be applied to all K-D range during this year. 3 Families Involved AR-2R Page 3 of 13 EXTERNAL DESIGN New shape of the truck is more tough and offers more space to operator s head due to its straight design. All decisions has been made to improve visibility and comfort Driver s position is higher if compared with AR-1R but accessibility is more comfortable due to the middle step: visibility of forks tips has been improved. Battery box compartment fully slides and the one shown in this picture is for vertical battery extraction. Visibility through the overhead guard has been drastically improved and several tests has been performed to be define a combination valid for both male and female staff according to European standard size. DRIVER S COMPARTMENT Space and comfort of new AR-2R series is optimal and several adjustment are available both standard or optional. Every driver will be able to find best position for effortless daily operations. Great all-around visibility is ensured by holes in OHG support. This is a good sales argument against STILL FM and comparison with AR-1R is very positive Incredible wide operator s compartment with a deep ergonomics study to find best position of commands in order to be easily reached by the driver

4 Families Involved AR-2R Page 4 of 13 Standard seat is GRAMMER MSG20 and it is fully adjustable with a very long stroke. Design of stay helped to gain 4 cm backward. Wide object holder is available with minimum extra cost. Electric foot plate adjustment is available as optional with a stroke of 100mm Tiltable steering column is standard and its high position connection point guarantees extra space for driver s knees if compared with AR-1R 1 st and 2 nd generation All commands are absolutely easy to be handled and hydraulic functions commands has been designed to be an evolution of AR-1R commands. All axles can be moved at same time Parking brake is electronically controlled by button Front/Reverse button is more smooth and comfortable compared with AR-1R Driver s Display has a completely new design and it displays all information relevant for the driver - Wheel position with integrated travel direction - Battery capacity - Operation hours or error code - Height display (optional) - Next maintenance interval - Parking brake set - Creep speed selected

5 Families Involved AR-2R Page 5 of 13 It includes onboard diagnosis controlled using the menu keys - Request of the software version of all components - Separate check and setting of the battery type and capacity (Ah) - Request of the potentiometer values for the 4 lever control - Request of switch signals Selection of four different travelling characteristics + creep speed FULLY ELECTRIC STEERING New fully electric (drive by wire) steering system is absolutely one of the best new features compared with AR-1R. Steering wheel diameter has been reduced to 200mm because assistance is very strong and sensibility is very high. Only 4 turning are needed to have traction wheel moving of 183 letting the truck move easily also when straddles are parallel to rack borders Reactivity can be adjusted by software and electric motor is actuated only when requested enabling a real energy saving and noise reduction. Reverse button is standard to let driver enter and exit the rack by simply pressing a button. Safety is at maximum level with redundant functions and double wiring double checking every moment the data transferred by the sensors to the logic. 360 function is available as option and is absolutely a great feature that can be very funny for drivers to reduce their stress. This option is absolutely recommended to have Customers experience a very smooth and extremely productive action. All problems found in AR-1R wheel position have been completely solved.

6 Families Involved AR-2R Page 6 of 13 ELECTRIC MOTORS Alternate Current system has been adopted and all motors, electric steering (DC brush-less) excluded, are based onto this new technology. AC technology sales arguments are (please see also training presentation): This is future state of the art the trucks and main manufacturer choose this system for new trucks Being brush-less, electric motors are virtually maintenance free, above all these that are fully encapsulated Torque curve is more sharp at low RPM (strong acceleration) Torque curve is more constant at medium and high RPM due to control of logic (always same feeling) Strongest generator braking characteristics (faster approach to racks) Higher overall productivity High-performance drive systems (1) Drive motor AC 48V/6.0 kw (2) Lifting motor AC 48V/11.5 kw Steering motor DC brushless 1 2 Fully encapsulated motors to prevent dust, paper and plastic to enter into the inner case. With traditional AC motors the serviceman always had to clean the components even if they were AC motors -> Very important sales argument! All components are linked to the logic by well known CAN- BUS technology that links all components to the logic by one wiring only: this increases the global reliability and allows an optimal distributions of components

Accessibility to main components is absolutely exceptional and it can be done by simply removing two screws. First standard service interval is set at 1000hours when main checks are at 2000 working hours. Narrow Version - DC Power - b1=1120mm Trucks are available AS SPECIAL MACHINES and they will be DC power based on STILL FM series without electric steering neither proportional valves. Data, price and lead time to be confirmed after request. Cold Store & Cabins Same cabin as STILL and they are available (price still to be confirmed).as o Cold store version without cabin o Cold store version with glass cabin o Cold store version with polycarbonate cabin o Weather protection cabin Based on volumes it will be decided if these versions will be managed as RMS or if they ll be included in the pricelist. R&D is now studying if and how they ll be managed.
