A new Lithium-ion powered truck range based on Linde s large-series trucks In order to develop this exciting new range, Linde has adapted its largeseries trucks to utilise Lithium-ion technology in a seamlessly integrated and functional design. The integral Battery Management System (BMS) communicates continuously with the truck s control, modules and cells. 5 The Linde Li-ION applications The Linde warehouse truck range equipped with Lithium-ion batteries is ideal for use in intensive, demanding applications (e.g. two shifts or more). Thanks to the Lithium-ion technology, which offers improved performance at low ambient temperatures, it is particularly suited for cold store applications. As Lithium-ion batteries are airtight during their lifetime, a specially ventilated charging room is no longer required: no noxious emissions, no lead acid spillage and no water top-ups. The Linde Li-ION truck range Linde offers a revolutionary and superb new truck range, specifically designed to seamlessly interface with the Li-ION technology. The integrated Battery Management System (BMS) ensures continuous communication via CAN bus between the truck and the charger. The operator can consult the state of charge (SoC) on the BMS instrument display, and stores the historical battery data to ensure safe and efficient use of Li-ION batteries and trucks. The specially designed, environmentally friendly Linde Li-ION truck range enables the full potential of Lithium-ion based technology to be realised and translated into safe and highly productive handling efficiency and lower handling costs.
