3 Productivity Through Design From order picking to dock work, dependable performance is what your operators will experience with Barrett s Platinum RPXB Series. Our pallet trucks will give your operation s productivity a boost, thanks to a large 5.2 horsepower AC drive motor and matching controller. Combined, this design delivers excellent travel speeds, smoother plugging and controlled stops for greater efficiency. This powerful AC system also uses fewer components, keeping your downtime and maintenance expenses lower. Easier on the operator An LED readout on the RPXB s multifunction display includes a battery discharge indicator to help keep the operator aware of the truck s current state. A timer in the controller can be programmed to notify the operator when service is required to ensure proper maintenance is performed. Productivity gains are a given with the walkie/rider s optional Coast Control feature. By maintaining the handle s brake off position, the operator can advance the truck while avoiding the need to step on to the platform, resulting in fewer repetitive movements during order selecting. Electronic activation is achieved using Barrett s Click-n-Coast feature, or manually with a toggle switch, found at the base of the steer handle. The RPXB s optional Sidetracker feature is conveniently placed on both sides of the control handle. When used in conjunction with the Coast Control, this keeps truck speed at a comfortable pace, allowing the operator to walk beside the truck while performing low-level order selection. 3

The RPXB uses light touch switches smartly arranged on its wide steer head. And its smaller steering arc prevents added stress on the operator when cornering. The RPXB steer handle features a light, spring-loaded design with plenty of room within the operating range requiring less operator effort to find a position that offers the most comfortable, yet efficient performance. And with its 190º arc, exceptional turning radius is achieved. 4

5 Freedom to choose Whether walking, riding or both RPXB operators will discover plenty of ways to satisfy multiple applications with greater productivity and control as a result. Even order picking becomes more efficient, thanks to its Coast Control feature. Select from Barrett s manual toggle design or its electronic Click-n-Coast TM, activated through a switch conveniently located near the butterfly speed control. Comfort comes easy The Platinum RPXB includes a compact hood design and spacious platform area. With plenty of leg and foot room, operators will find a comfortable position. Its optional cushioned platform mat further contributes to a smoother, more comfortable ride. Little extras make the difference A soft grip grab bar provides the operator with a firm hold for an extra measure of security and comfort. To begin, the Platinum RPXB s sealed switches and logic boards allow it to work in a variety of operating environments. These pallet trucks can go from coolers, to wet rooms to freezers down to -20ºF (-28.9ºC) without the need for thermostats or heaters. This kind of versatility translates into exceptional value, especially for a diverse application. Keeping service costs low Because easy maintenance promotes thorough maintenance, every lubrication point can be serviced in the truck s upright position with the battery in place. All wheels include a string guard as standard, to help eliminate debris from entering axles and bearings, reducing downtime and potential repair costs. And access to replacing the drive tire is as simple as removing just five bolts. 6

7 The Platinum RPXB s heavy-duty three-phase AC drive motor uses no brushes in its design, and just one contactor keeping maintenance costs to a minimum. Its design provides consistent performance throughout the shift, while using less energy per battery cycle all with longer run times per charge. A smart electric brake system means no adjustments are necessary, while its regenerative braking delivers longer component life. Added strength where it counts Pallet truck forks take a real beating throughout a shift. That s why Barrett continues to use the same field proven fork construction using push-type linkage in order to get the job done. Barrett s unique design features rugged tie rods to absorb high impact shocks caused by uneven floors or dock plates. And alloy steel fork slides facilitate pallet entry and exit, eliminating the need for high maintenance entry rollers or discs.
