12 South Carolina & Dräxlmaier: A Brief History to a Long Relationship Since 1996, the Dräxlmaier Group has been continuously expanding its facility in Duncan, S.C. The Duncan Facility is not only a major production and distribution hub, but a center for research and development and Dräxlmaier North American headquarters. Over the last 15 years, with the help of the state and local government, and the great people who work for us, we have prospered and made South Carolina and Spartanburg County our home in North America.

13 Driving Factors for Expansion This project is necessary to facilitate the growth in new customer contracts for our interior and electrical products. In addition, the expansion is also needed to keep up with the increased demand for our products under existing contracts. Our current facility is too small to accommodate both the new business, production requirements and increased capacity overall. The benefits to DAA and the County and the State of South Carolina are many.

14 Plant Expansion The heart and main project of this expansion is the new 72,000 sq. foot production hall. This new building is designed to support the increased manufacturing needs of our company. As of today, we have invested $30 million in construction and new equipment.

15 Plant Upgrades We plan to further invest $2.5 million in the renovating our existing facility. This will entail modernizing and expanding our North America headquarters as well as our existing manufacturing facility. We will also re-invest in $5 million in new tools and machinery to meet the demands and specifications of our new projects.

16 New Jobs for The Upstate This new expansion has currently created 200 new jobs. The jobs growth our expansion will promote among our suppliers and other business in the area. We plan to add over $5 million per year to the payrolls.
