11 BIC Electric 2004: Development in Poland Choosing location Szczecin - West Pomerania Based on feasibility study - the long way around (Demex electric 2002) Not much help to get no one spoke English Very complicated administrative procedures Difficult to find help No help from authorities Now: Many choose location based on knowledge from network Different administrative procedures (than in Denmark) Easy to find help and get assistance Fine professional help from authorities (better than in Denmark) Good Danish network in North-Western Poland

12 Development in Poland Infrastructure: 8 hours between borders 5 hours between borders A looong time in a truck 10 hours from Jutland cheaper then internal transport in Denmark Good ferry connections still good ferry connections even better when the Femern connection comes Poor plane connections still poor connections to Goleniow, but from Berlin to the world Very bad roads in Poland highways between major cities
