2 Made in the USA The Larson Electronics MGS-30KVA-20X120-2X240 heavy duty power transformer substation is designed for use for linear (motor) loads and converts 480 VAC single phase electrical current to single phase 120V AC and 240V AC. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION PANELS, TRANSFORMERS, OR SUBSTATIONS* The MGS-30KVA-20X120-2X240 transformer provides a safe and effective way for operators in industrial settings to tap into and utilize power sources independently of the work area. This unit provides an effective power source for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance and cleaning in hazardous areas, equipment installations and repairs and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. This unit is designed to operate with 480 2P which it then steps down to 120V single phase and 240 VAC. This transformer makes 120VAC available via 20 GFCI protected 120 volt receptacles (10 double gang), each protected by a dedicated circuit breaker. This power distribution system also provides 2 GFCI protected outlets 50 amp Hubble CS6369L twist lock outlets with waterproof covers for 240V AC. Click Photo to Enlarge Click Photo to Enlarge Click Photo to Enlarge 20 feet of #4 Type-W cable connects line in power to a fusable breaker with ON/OFF disconnect switch which controls current to the 37.5 KVA, 480 Volt single phase transformer. The transformer is mounted to a 3/16 thick steel plate and the distribution assembly is mounted onto a rugged 2" square carbon steel frame with four hard rubber casters and a top located lifting eyelet and skid pockets to allow easy transport. Unlike many portable power distribution boxes made of plastic and utilizing thin gauge, low grade metals in their construction, this unit is designed for serious use and is ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy duty industrial applications. The transformer and load assembly is mounted on a 3/16" thick carbon steel mounting platform and the load center/distribution assembly is mounted to the standard 2" x 2" x 1/8" square carbon steel tubing frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable and well protected power distribution platform. This model is equipped with forklift skid pockets, locking polyurethane casters, and a top located lifting eyelet which allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This can be replaced for an additional cost with stainless steel, hot dip galvanized steel, or aluminum depending on the customer s needs. Larger units are available upon request and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Applications: This unit is configured for linear loads and as such is suited for use powering electric motors and industrial equipment. Features a NEMA 3R rating and is ideal for indoor or outdoor use and applications including but not limited to, construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits, and shipyard operations. These power distribution systems are popularly used in applications where external power sources are often necessary.
