2 Frozen Meat Breaker SP SP 50/100/150 High efficiency Construction and operation The new KILIA Frozen Meat Breakers SP50 / SP100 / SP150 set the technical standard. The massive but compact construction and the clean workmanship with high quality material lead to the systems high stability and thus a very low noise emission. In a self standing stainless steel machine housing, the proven KILIA breaking shaft with specially designed breaker teeth enables a gentle breaking of frozen meat down to temperatures of 30 C. On request the breaker shaft can be driven infinitely variable (extra charge). Even after years of operation, the breaker teeth show hardly any wear, another advantage of KILIA quality. Superior operation With a conveyor belt or manually, with a pressure spring supported loading device, the frozen meat (block form or irregular shape, everything is possible) is transported to the breaking shaft, where it is broken into fist sized pieces (other sizes are possible at extra charge), which are automatically falling into the transport trolley. Depending on the model, the capacity lies between 1 to 4, 5 to 8 or 9 to 12 tons per hour. Due to the safety interlock the machine can operate only if a standard trolley is correctly shifted into the machine body. Thus it is prevented that meat falls on the floor. In the front side of the machine, a large illuminated Perspex window enables the monitoring during production. Reliability in detail Continuous operation shows the superior reliability of details, e.g. the strong stainless steel sheets, the high performance drives, etc. The KILIA Frozen Meat Breaker from series SP50 / SP100 / SP150 offer fast and gentle breaking of frozen 12

3 The breaker cylinder is equipped with six teeth à 70 mm and breaks the frozen meat into fist sized pieces. Optionally smaller teeth are available. With a pressure spring supported flap or alternatively with a conveyor belt the frozen meat can be loaded. Dimensions and technical details see page 20. meat at low noise emission. Complete standard equipment The complete standard equipment of the KILIA Frozen Meat Breakers is immediately ready for operation. The switch cabinet, integrated inside the machine body, is well protected against humidity. For maintenance and service, the electrical combination can easily be swivelled out. High quality options A number of additional features can optionally be added to make operation even easier and to create new possibilities: Another possibility for loading of frozen meat blocks is the conveyor belt. Compared to manual loading, the operation speed is enhanced. The automatic central lubrication system ADS 100 secures (time controlled), that each lubrication point is greased sufficiently. Faults in maintenance work can thus be avoided and the machines life is prolonged. The high quality key pad with protection cover, which is integrated into the machine body, allows a clear and easy operation of the machine. Besides the high degree of operational comfort, the key pad has a very smooth surface, which offers an excellent hygiene standard. The cover protects the key pad during cleaning. The KILIA program control (KPS) with key pad uses clear, logical symbols, thus allowing a comfortable operation and reducing the required training period to a minimum. The new automatic central lubrication system ADS 200 is electronically steered and sends grease to all lubrication points depending on their degree of strain. Through standard interfaces a connection with several IT-solutions is possible, e.g. with the KILIA installation concept or with the KILIA Process Visualization (KPV). A modem can easily be connected (telephone connection required), thus allowing not only remote diagnosis, avoiding cost-intensive travel, but also simple and speedy maintenance by KILIA service personnel in Germany, no matter where the machine is located. 13
