1 Land Charges 74,360 Inspection of documents filed in respect of each parcel of land Official search (including issue of official certificate of search) (a) in any one part of the register (b) in the whole of the register (i) where the requisition is made by electronic means (ii) in any other case (c) in addition, in respect of each parcel of land above one, where more than one parcel is included in the same requisition (whether the requisition is for a search in the whole or any part of the register) Office copy of any entry in the register (not including a copy or extract of any plan or document filed) As reprographics charges As reprographics charges It is proposed that these fees do not increase this year as Local Authorities' fees are already high when compared to personal search companies. Further increases will increase the likelihood that more solicitors will move to using personal search companies, i.e. we will still have to do the work but the information will be requested under the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) free of charge. Loss of business would outweigh 1.99% gain. Time recording has been undertaken to accurately account for these charges. This was necessary as a comparison showed our charges were high in comparison with other authorities. The reductions bring us into line with other authorities. The charge should be on a cost recovery basis only and has been brought in line with corporate charges.
