2 Definition of Station Power Station Power is defined in the NYISO Tariff as the Energy used dby a Generator for operating electric ti equipment tlocated on the Generator site, or portions thereof, owned by the same entity that owns the Generator, which electrical equipment is used by the Generator exclusively for the production of Energy and any useful thermal energy associated with the production of Energy; and for the incidental heating, lighting, air conditioning and office equipment needs of buildings, or portions thereof, that are: a. owned by the same entity that owns the Generator; b. located on the Generator site; and c. used by the Generator exclusively in connection with the production of Energy and any useful thermal energy associated with the production of Energy New York Independent System Operator, Inc. 4 Measurement of SP Load Station Power is measured at a load bus: Load Type is station power The generator can forecast and bid load on this bus into Day-Ahead Market Station Power should be scheduled in DAM for units scheduled to be offline (see MPUG Section 7.5.1) Forecasted Station Power will result in Initial Invoice Settlements Typically these buses are read monthly by the Meter Authorities and their values first appear in the TOL files for the four month adjustment. The generator will pay the wholesale zonal price for the energy using the normal hourly and daily bill codes This bus will not be allocated any Ancillary Service charges 2012 New York Independent System Operator, Inc. 5 Accounting of SP Load Station Power may be procured in three ways: Self-Supply: The netting of generation output against station service load over a monthly period for the same unit or complex of units associated with the same Corporate Entity (CE) for instance the LLC owner of a location-specific facility. Remote Self-Supply: The netting of generation output against station service load over a monthly period for units owned by the same CE located remotely. Third-Party Supply: The net of station service load over generation output remaining after Self-Supply and Remote Self-Supply New York Independent System Operator, Inc. All Rights Reserved. 6 Station Power Simplified All Station Power, except for third party supply, is finally settled for the generator at wholesale zonal LBMP At the end of the month station power is allocated into 3 types: Self Supply Station Power < Generator Output Remote Self Supply Station Power > Generator Output CE offsets balance with positive net output from other owned gens Third Party Station Power > Generator Output Corporate Entity cannot offset Procure Station Power from Load Serving Entity (LSE) 2012 New York Independent System Operator, Inc.
