2 THE DALI P20 MUST BE INSTALLED BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IMPORTANT INFORMATION ELECTRICIANS MUST READ PRIOR TO INSTALLATION 1) This product must only be installed by persons who are appropriately licensed by the applicable State regulatory body. 2) This product must be connected to circuits that incorporate 10 A rated circuit breaker protection. 3) Hazardous voltage exists at the terminals of this product. Ensure the circuit is isolated before removing this product from the wall or electrical enclosure. 4) Damage caused by incorrect installation, force-majeure, electrical surges, lightning, power grid fluctuations, water or by connection to alternative power supply sources (such as solar inverters, etc.) is not eligible for warranty repair. 5) Appliance not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge. 6) Children should be supervised by a person responsible for their safety to ensure that they do not play with the appliance DEVICE OVERVIEW The DALI P20 is a DALI broadcast controller for control of up to 20 DALI fittings. Its integral DALI power supply means no other hardware is required for this controller to operate. With an input for a movement detector and programmable options for Turn on Level, Sensor mode, Run on Timer and Minimum Level the DALI P20 is not only simple to install and use but also extremely flexible in its functionality. 2

3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Before installing this product read all instructions carefully and please keep this installation manual for future reference. WARNING: To prevent electric shock, please ensure that power is isolated before installation. This product is designed for indoor use only. The DALI P20 wall plate must be surface mounted onto a fully enclosed wall cavity or be installed on a suitable surface mount enclosure. The DALI P20 circuitry must be electrically concealed. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with National Wiring Regulations and other applicable regulations. Compliance to AS/NZS Standards and Low Voltage Directives may be invalidated if not used or installed according to the published specification. The DALI P20 contains no user serviceable parts and should be returned to the manufacturer for repair. Wall Cut-out Requirements The cut-out required is 63mm (L), 50mm (W), 50mm (D) There are four options for wall mounting of the DALI P20. These are: Plasterboard with C-Clip mounting flange Brick with a mounting block Timber with a mounting block Direct screwing onto a suitable material Wiring Diagram 3

4 The rear of the DALI P20 has a terminal block that accommodates up to 1.5mm 2 wire for electrical and control cable connection. Terminal Description S Sensor Input ( V a.c. Model Number DALI P20 AXA Design Manufacturer DALI Technical Information Installer technical information for DALI based products: DALI requires 2 wires to connect between devices. These wires are not polarity dependant. These wires are at ELV (Extra Low Voltage) potential and are daisy chained to all devices. Some devices, such as HF ballasts are mains powered, and only provide functional isolation between the mains and the DALI control. This means that DALI control wire must be treated as if it were at mains potential. 5 Changing Programming Options 1. Press and hold the push button for 10 seconds and you're in programming mode. The Blue LED will flash to indicate which programming option you are in and what mode that option is set to. 2. Press the push button to change to the next mode. 3. Rotate the knob to change to the next option. 4. To exit programming press and hold the push button for 10 seconds or wait 30 seconds and it will exit programming automatically.
