9 PSM PROFESSIONAL SKILLS MODULE This module takes place each year throughout the month of January. It is attended by students from the various IFP School programs: - non-apprenticeship students of the current academic year with 5 years of higher education (Bac+5) - apprenticeship students of the previous academic year with 4 years of higher education (Bac+4) During this module, which complements their initial educational background, students benefit from personalized training, in the form of elective courses, in the main non-technical aspects of an engineer's work. At the same time they acquire skills related to working in a multi-cultural environment through a month-long project in multidisciplinary and multi-cultural teams. To develop this aspect each project group is supervised by specialists in intercultural project management in addition to the necessary technical supervision. At the end of this module, students are thus armed with the necessary skills for working in an intercultural, multidisciplinary environment which will enable them to adapt to the professional world. They will also have increased their non-technical skills. They will: - understand the fluctuating economic environment of a company at the national and international levels - have an idea of how companies function and understand the sociology of their structure - understand the structure of a partnership and its management - be aware of and be able to analyse the challenges of sustainable development - have acquired skills in project management. 10 ESM EXPERIENCE SHARING MODULE This module takes place each year during last week of November and concern apprenticeship students with 5 years of higher education (bac+5) The objective of this module is to allow students to stand back, compared with their activities to the everyday life during periods in companies, by a thinking on the company, on the inter relations or, more widely, the inter-professional relations in domains corresponding to their training period. At the end of the month, student are able to: Position themselves in relation to their work in the energy and environment sector, Identify major non technical aspects that allow the company to operate, such as corporate governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, organization and law, Fully contribute to the organization and management of a project involving students from different programs, in a team in which different views and perspectives are valued, Be involved in a multicultural working environment while respecting and listening to other cultures. 10
