7 Letting you get down to business The strong, silent type The brief harvest window leaves absolutely no room for experimentation. Each movement has to be natural, so every lever has to be as conveniently placed as possible. With each glance, the driver has to be aware of exactly what's important, so the instrumentation has to be clearly laid out. The design of the new DOMINATOR's cab is based on the proven high-end ergonomics of the LEXION. It's all in hand The new generation of the DOMINATOR features hydrostatic power delivery to the wheels (DOMINATOR 140/150) that enables you to regulate speed easily and manoeuvre quickly and efficiently on headlands. The hydrostat is easily operated using the conveniently located multifunction lever, as are the sturdy cutterbar, strong reels and the discharge auger. You can therefore exploit the full power of the DOMINATOR with the greatest of ease and at the press of a button. Cab 7

9 Right before your eyes No struggling to turn your head or twist your neck. All of the information you need is visible from the comfort of the driver's seat. The new operating and monitoring console with throughput monitor is clearly laid out and easy to use. The drive information unit is located on the steering column, directly in the driver's line of vision. The analog displays showing cutting height and bearing pressure are also in the driver's field of vision. All-round visibility The large windows of the DOMINATOR's cab ensure a clear, all-round view. And if it's getting late, why not turn night into day; powerful spotlights illuminate every last corner of the area you're working on. Cab 9

Based on robust and reliable technology that has been finely tuned over the decades, it is the perfect all-round harvesting machine. The DOMINATOR guarantees perfect results whether you're harvesting grain, rape, corn, sunflower, rice or any other type of crop that can be threshed. 140 mm Take it as it comes The DOMINATOR is ideal for all harvest conditions. The cutterbars can be mounted easily. Adjustable discharging springs on the hydraulic cylinders allow the DOMINATOR to adapt effortlessly to all ground contours. Crop lifters ensure that the crop is lifted cleanly, while sturdy double fingers and a long blade stroke - spanning the distance of a double finger - cut the crop cleanly and reliably. Reel and cutterbar can be optimally configured using the new multifunction lever. All this, combined with the large clearance between the knife bar and intake auger as well as high auger speeds ensures a steady crop flow. In the event of an unexpected crop jam, the new hydraulic reverser quickly clears the combine and sets the DOMINATOR in motion again. 620 mm 10

12 Extracting the maximum The cost-effectiveness of your combine harvester increases the more your harvest costs fall. In this respect, the DOMINATOR ranks at least alongside its bigger brothers. It is fitted with the tried and tested CLAAS threshing unit. A clean threshing yield, gentle grain treatment, excellent disawning and high separation efficiency guarantee the high grain quality demanded by today's market. Efficient threshing 12

13 Strong: a sturdy variable speed drive with automatic tensioner delivers high torque even under peak loads, f or example when dealing with large quantities or damp straw. You can regulate speed and concave clearance from the comfort of the cab. Clean: disawning slats fitted to the front part of the concave ensure a clean threshing yield even in difficult conditions. Fast: the MULTICROP concave can be easily switched from grain to corn. Safe: the entire threshing unit, including the large stone trap and all service points, are easily accessible. Levelling every slope. the driver having to slow down. The air blast is regulated from the side of the machine. The returns can be monitored from the driver's seat, allowing the machine to be fine-tuned. with 3-D without 3-D The grain tank is filled with clean grain only - no broken straw or chaff. The long grain pan sorts out the crop to be cleaned. A powerful and consistent blast of air blows over the adjustable lamellar sieves, which distribute the grain evenly in a dynamic oscillating motion. With the 3-D cleaning system, the upper sieve oscillates proportionate to the gradient of the slope, so that, even on slopes of 20%, the grain is cleaned perfectly without 20 % Threshing and cleaning system 13

14 4,000-litre grain tank Thoroughly agitated The efficiency of the CLAAS intensive separation tines has been proven time and again over the years. Controlled agitation tines located over each of the straw walkers penetrate deep into the straw, loosening it and pulling the mat apart. Separation efficiency is improved considerably. Large capacity The grain tank of the DOMINATOR 150 HYDRO DRIVE has been increased by 25%. It now has a massive 4,000 litre capacity. Coupled with a working width of 3.6 meters and a yield of 8 tonnes per hectare, you can cover up to 1,200 meters easily. Finely chopped The agitation concept ensures quality straw for dense bales. Should you not wish to harvest the straw, simply use the straw chopper. 40 blades and a speed of 3,300rpm ensure that the straw is chopped short and distributed evenly over the entire width of the cutterbar. NEW: CAT C 6.6 For the new generation of the DOMINATOR, we have opted for the powerful and robust six-cylinder diesel engines from Caterpillar. This puts even more power at your disposal. The new DOMINATOR 150 HYDRO DRIVE delivers 116 kw/158 hp, ensuring that power is never in short supply, whatever the harvest conditions. The engines comply with the most recent emission standard EUROMOT IIIa. Thanks to electronically controlled engines, Common Rail fuel injection technology and 4-valve technology, low fuel consumption is achieved also under extreme conditions. 18
