Using the right gear oils can optimise performance, minimise downtime, prolong gear life and boost your productivity. Castrol gear oils have been formulated using the latest thinking in raw materials and then rigorously tested in both laboratory and manufacturing conditions, in close collaboration with leading gear and machinery manufacturers. Castrol EPX 80W-90 High-performance gear oil Castrol EPX 80W-90 was developed for the lubrication of spiral, bevel and hypoid differentials, but is also suitable for the lubrication of manual transmissions where the manufacturer recommends the use of an oil to API GL-5. Load carrying performance to API GL-5 provides excellent protection to gears operating under the most severe service conditions prolonging the life of components. Multigrade characteristics give wide operating temperature range with particular benefits in low temperature performance. Wherever two surfaces rub together wear can occur, so you need to keep these parts well lubricated with grease. The film of grease will prevent sticking, squeaking and groaning, and prevent components wearing out permanently, or in an extreme case failing altogether. Greases also keep surfaces protected from moisture and corrosion. We offer a wide selection of greases that can cope with everything from extreme wet and cold to hot, dry and dusty conditions even under very high loads, however this grease is best suited to the diverse needs of Agri customers.
