This Type Approval Certificate does not act as an approval for design of any particular grouted connection. Reference is made to Sec.9E of DNV-OS-C502 (September, 2012) for details and requirements for the Certification Scheme. Furthermore, bag/sack Id.production date, shelf life, weight and water demand shall be clearly identified by the label; XXXX (bag/sack Id.), YY / WK (Year / Week), 12 months, XXXX kg and min 7 % - max. 8 %. 3 File No: 334. Application/Limitation The application limitations for the MasterFlow 9500 material have been determined by laboratory and mock-up tests independently witnessed by DNV GL. The subsequent application limitations in Table 2 have been established during the Certification Scheme. I.e. the valves/couplings shall not have a reduced nominal bore compared to the grouting lines/hoses. 2) Limitations for grout thickness are valid for annuluses in tubular/conical grouted connections. 3) Temperature gradients over the grouted section should be considered for the application in question (especially during low temperature grouting). 4) The minimum application temperature is defined on the basis of a test temperature of, refer to Sec.9 E209 in DNV-OS-C502. It shall be noted that the minimum application temperature specified in Table 2 reflects the temperature limit where the material will develop strength during low temperature curing. Temperature effects/gradients for the application in question need to be considered specifically for each specific project Fresh Properties The tests of fresh properties of MasterFlow 9500 grout witnessed by DNV GL as part of the Certification Scheme are listed in Table 3. 4 File No: 334. Hardened Properties Characteristic 28-days strengths of relevant hardened material properties for MasterFlow 9500 are given in Table 4. The 5 % characteristic values are determined in accordance with Appendix D of EN 1990 on the basis of each individual test result from all production batches being tested as part of the laboratory test programs. Properties are based on tests undertaken after mixing with laboratory equipment. The conversion factors are based on mean values presented in Table 7. Where test results are available at different temperatures for both properties the conversion factors are averaged for the temperatures tested. This Type Approval Certificate is only valid when BASF s Licensed Contractors are performing the grouting operation in accordance with the referenced generic method statement and offshore QC procedures. Manufacturing Site Approval The initial audit of BASF s primary production facility at Rødekro, Denmark was successfully carried out during the 18 th and 19 th August 2013 according to the DNV GL audit system Manufacturer Product Quality Assessment (MPQA) according to Sec.9 E400 and App. I of DNV-OS-C502 (September 2012). An initial audit was undertaken at BASF s secondary production facility for the certification program Ham, Belgium on the 8 th and 8 th of October The facility was found accebtable in accordance with DNV GL audit system Manufacturer Product Quality Assessment (MPQA) according to Sec.9 E400 and App.I (September 2012). DNV GL shall at any time, upon request, be given access to all areas and facilities for production and quality control at the manufacturing facility (Certificate Retention). The frequency and timing of periodical surveys shall be confirmed in advance with the manufacturer. The main elements of the Periodical Assessment are to: Review design, materials, production process, and performance with respect to possible changes, in order to ensure compliance with Type Approval documentation and/or referenced material specifications. Ensure traceability between manufacturer s product marking and the DNV GL Type Approval Certificate. Renewal Assessment to be performed after five (5) years (Certificate Renewal). The scope of the Renewal Assessment is to verify that the conditions stipulated for the Type Approval is complied with and that no alterations are made to the product design or selection of materials.
