3 Home Heating Oil Additive Avalux 10k Avalux 10k provides the following: Antioxidants protect thermal and oxidative stability Corrosion inhibition Excellent low temperature additive handling ADDITION Avalux 10k may be continuously or batch blended into heating fuel as a concentrate or as a stock solution. Verify that the additive is completely dissolved into the fuel. MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY Avalux 10k is compatible with the following materials: 304 stainless steel, Buna-N, and HDPE. Do not use with natural rubber. See the Material Compatibility Document for more product specific information. Fuel Stabilizer: Helps to reduce fuel degradation which contributes to sludge formation. Dispersant: Gradually dissolves sludge and disperses water so that they can move more easily through filters and combust in the fire box. Also assists in water removal to help retard bacterial growth. Detergent: Helps to clean the fuel supply system which includes pumps, screens and nozzles. Corrosion Inhibitor: Protects storage tank from fuel and rust corrosion. Metal Deactivator: Fuel oil will react with copper and brass. This reaction causes gums and resins to form which in turn could contribute to sludge formation and clogged fuel delivery lines. The metal deactivator helps retard this reaction. 4 LEGAL DIESEL Fuel Additive WINTERFLOW WINTERFLOW provides the following: Lowers cold filter plugging point by 30 F Lowers Pour Point by 40 F Prevents fuel gelling in low temperatures Disperses wax during extended engine shutdowns in cold climates Aids against fuel filter icing Water dispersant to help safely remove water on a gradual basis WINTERFLOW functions as a wax modifier to improve the low temperature operability of middle distillate fuels. Improved low temperature additive handling WINTERFLOW may be batch blended into diesel fuel. Proper blending and handling procedures must be followed due to the nature of all low temperature operability additives. Blend the additive with the fuel at temperatures at least 10 F above the cloud point of the fuel. Ensure the additive is at or above minimum handling temperatures to avoid potential performance issues. Verify that the additive is completely dissolved into the fuel.
