1 Notre Dame High School 26 Acts of Kindness Calendar ~ January 2013 ~ Thank a Teacher Write a letter to a teacher who has made a difference in your life (ND will mail any letters to a former teacher for you.) Mid Term Exams 8 15 Be a Friend Who Listens Today Mid Term Exams 9 16 Please and Thank You Day Collection Donate a can of cat or dog food for a local animal shelter Mid Term Exams 10 Hold the Door Open For Someone Today Remember Sandy Hook Day Collection taken during lunches to benefit the United Way Sandy Hook Elementary School Fund 17 Mid Term Exams Be Kind to Yourself Day (exercise, eat healthy, reduce stress). Being kind to others starts with yourself. 11 Tutor/Study with a Classmate Day Share the gift of education and help someone prepare for mid terms 18 Mid Term Exams No School MLK, Jr. Day 22 Be Kind to the Environment (recycle, use less paper, think before hitting print, purchase a reusable water bottle, etc.) Introduce Yourself to Someone New Collection Donate a toiletry Make a friend and help put a item for a local smile on someone s face homeless shelter 23 Collection Donate a gently used book for a local teen center/library 30 Thank Your Parents/Guardian Grandparents Day For all that they do for you 24 Thank a First Responder Write a thank you note to a first responder (police, fire, EMT). ND will mail them. 31 Put a Smile On Someone s Face Today: Make Them Laugh 25 Embrace Your Mistakes Day Learn from your mistakes and move forward. 26

It needs exercise too. 13 Share a Compliment with Someone Today 14 Collection Donate Used Sports Equipment for local youth leagues
