WTE Präzisionstechnik mbh, an internationally active company, is a technology-oriented operations that develops and produces innovations for the field of clamping technology in their Design and Development Department. Core competences are in the precision chuck technology, in the hydraulic expansion field and in shrink technology. We have reached the top market position in Europe in the field of precision chucks. More products in high-precision clamping technology will follow. We rely on highly qualified and engaged employees. Presently, there are approximately 120 employees in our company, who enjoy inhouse continuous training in order to meet the high quality demands. Not only continuing development and innovations for solving production-specific problems, but also the sustained expansion of the ermany location is extremely important to us. With the construction of a second production hall we have laid the cornerstone for strengthening the ermany production location and thus are creating more employment opportunities in the region. 10 Our product range: High precision, innovative and future oriented Hydraulic Chucks High run-out accuracy and outstanding vibrational damping are the main characteristics of our Hydraulic Chucks. By using WTE Hydraulic Chucks, we guarantee optimum workpiece surfaces, longer service life of the tools used and economic optimisation of production processes. WTE Hydraulic Chucks are available both with axial and radial length adjustment and are manufactured in the standard range in the most common shank forms. In addition, the use of reducing sleeves or special Hydraulic Chucks give additional flexibility to these tools. Ultimate holding forces combined with outstanding damping properties and high bending stiffness with normally higher run-out accuracy put these chucks in the top class of clamping products and guarantee an especially high surface quality in practical use. Other outstanding properties are sturdy construction, insensitivity to dirt and high cost effectiveness in regards to the shortening of machining times due to significantly higher machining speeds. These chucks were developed especially for the micro clamping market. The chucks cover a large clamping range from 0.2 to 6.4 mm. This enables shanks with small diameters to be clamped with high precision and reliability. If any deviations are found during this, then reliable transferable torques cannot be achieved. It is recommended for our repair service to check the expansion chuck if this has occurred. Before using our hydraulic clamping technology, the corresponding fixture holes and bevel faces must be thoroughly cleaned. The chuck pressure screw must be cleaned and lubricated regularly, appropriate to the use and environmental conditions. Storage of the clamping fixture should be done exclusively in the released condition, where corrosion protection must be ensured. 244 Basic Technical Information - Drill Chucks Application & Characteristics of WTE Drill Chuck Technologies Our NC Standard Drill Chucks or CNC Precision Drill Chucks are used in almost all machining areas of the metal and machining industries. Here they excel with their precision manufacturing, by the individual components made of high-quality, hardened material and through their variable application possibilities. Speed range up to 35,000 rpm is possible, depending on the design. High clamping strengths and improved run-out accuracies are also outstanding characteristics of our Drill Chucks. Depending on the model and type of application our Drill Chucks are suitable for use without coolant supply or for wet machining with internal or collar fed coolant supply. Step-by-step instructions are found in the respective operating manual. Our drill chucks are maintenance free. After using the drill chuck, it should be cleaned with a clean cloth. The drill chuck should be oiled before storage for corrosion protection. Caution: Never use compressed air to clean the drill chuck, as fine shavings can get into the clamping mechanism. The screw is bored through the centre, so that internal coolant supply is ensured. The length adjustment can be done from two sides. Clamping with shrink chucks is only possible reliably with a diameter of 3 mm and larger. Collet chucks have a larger interference contour due to the retainer nut and the coolant supply is significantly hindered. MICRO Universal Chucks offer the possibility of reliably clamping, with a very similar interference contour as with shrink collets, shanks starting at Ø 0.2 mm, or even micro-tools with internal coolant supply.
