16 Standardisation on behalf of JAA Until June 2009 Since 1 January 2005 EASA coordinated standardisation in the fields of Initial or Continuing Airworthiness (IAW, CAW) for JAAnon-EASA countries In addition, since 1 January 2007 EASA coordinated standardisation in the fields of Flight Operations (OPS), Flight Crew Licensing (FCL) and Synthetic Training Devices (FSTD) for all JAA/EASA and JAA-non-EASA countries 16
17 Standardisation after JAA After June 2009 EASA will continue the standardisation activities in the area of operations and licensing until implementing rules are available the working methods will be based on the existing joint implementing procedures (JIPs) previously being used within the JAA framework however, for standardisation and efficiency reasons the procedures can be aligned with those already used within the Community framework 17

19 Proactive Standardisation Standardisation Meetings For each scope or group of scopes, meetings are held with all the NAAs once or twice a year to agree on the common understanding of the of the rules and their means of compliance Training EASA training on EU regulations to NAA inspectors is of utmost importance for the uniform understanding and application of the rules 19
20 Global Partnership - EASA standardisation programme can be considered as a consolidated model for other regional safety oversight organisations of the world - EASA is ready to fully cooperate with ICAO to build up the future global safety oversight system 20
