2 RULES AND OTHER GOVERNING PROVISIONS RULES AND REGULATIONS - GENERAL ITEM 10 SUPPLEMENTS AND REISSUES ITEM 100 EXEMPT TRAFFIC (See Notes 1 and 2) When reference is made in this tariff, or supplements, to other publications for rates or other information, it includes Supplements thereto or successive issues thereof. Where reference is made in this tariff to items, it includes reissues of such items. ITEM 15 METHOD OF CANCELING ITEMS As this tariff is supplemented, numbered items with letter suffixes cancel correspondingly numbered items in the original tariff, or in a prior supplement. Letter suffixes will be used in alphabetical sequence starting with A. Example: Item 100-A cancels Item 100 and Item 300-B cancels Item 300-A in a prior supplement, which, in turn, canceled Item 300. 3 ITEM 200 ARKANSAS AND MISSOURI RAILROAD COMPANY MILEAGES FOR USE IN CALCULATING MILEAGE BASED FUEL SURCHARGE Mileage based s will be based on miles available in ALK Technologies PC*Miler Rail Fuel Surcharge Router or calculated based on the following Table: AM STATION MILES Monett, MO 0 Purdy, MO 8 Butterfield, MO 12 Exeter, MO 19 Seligman, MO 31 Avoca, AR 45 Bentonville, AR 50 Rogers, AR 51 Lowell, AR 56 Springdale, AR 61 East Fayetteville, AR 70 ITEM 300 [C] PERCENTAGE BASED FUEL SURCHARGE ( only on traffic exempt from STB jurisdiction as described in Item 100) When the U. S. Retail On-Highway Diesel Fuel (HDF) equals or exceeds $4.00 per gallon, the Arkansas and Missouri Railroad Company will apply a fuel surcharge on its local movements, including interline movements on which it does not receive a fuel surcharge, Rule 11 and switch movements. The fuel surcharge shall be applied to the published local, Rule 11 and switching charges, as the case may be. The fuel surcharge will be adjusted weekly on Wednesdays, based on the Midwest Region HDF Index of the previous Monday. The Table will be subject to periodic review. The fuel surcharge shall be included on the invoice for freight charges for each shipment. The source for the price of HDF will be the U. S. Department of Energy s, EIA Retail On-Highway Diesel Prices Report, Midwest Region, whose weekly average price is available on their WebPages at: Select Gasoline and Diesel Fuel Update. Then select On Highway Diesel Prices and the HDF prices are displayed.
