The deposits are harmful to the health of your employees as well as to the machines used and the quality of your products. In particular in case of a diameter of less than 2.5 µm, the protective mechanisms of the human respiratory system are not able to separate these particles which may easily cause chronic respiratory or cardiovascular diseases of an employee. Notifications of sickness and temporary losses in production may result therefrom or even entail a permanent loss of know-how. The SFC system reliably filters such harmful substances. 3 SCHEMATIC STRUCTURE OF SFC SERIES Dust-loaded air flows vertically from the top through distributor plates into the filter to the filter cartridges which are arranged horizontally. The filter cartridges remove dust/smoke from the air effectively and pure air leaves the filter on the pure air side. The pollutants remain inside the filter, are collected in a dust collecting basin and can be disposed of easily by the operator of the plant. In order to provide for a long service life of the filter cartridges - also in case of high dust concentrations - dust is removed automatically by an integrated cleaning system (compressed air) - composed of diaphragm valves and Venturi tubes. 5 A NEW DIMENSION IN FILTER TECHNOLOGY Our filter cartridges ensure high separating performance, long service life and consequently offer great benefits regarding the costs arising during the product life cycle. We are always able to offer a customised filter solution also for cancer-causing and toxic substances due to the vast range of available filter media and the support by our dust laboratory in Dresden/Germany. NEW THE NANOFIBRE TECHNOLOGY The nanofibres on UAS filter cartridges are nm in diameter (about 1/1000th of a human hair). They are spanned over the filter substrate like a fine-meshed net and present the basis for many technical and economic advantages. Dust deposits on this fine-meshed net and thus ensures high separating performance also in case of particulate matters in the lower nano range. In independent testing labs, the following separating performances were certified: MERV 15* according to ASHARE standard F9 according to EN779 M according to DIN EN60335 Shot of scanning electron microscope 5,000x * MERV = Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values This filter cartridge can be considered a real surface filter. The net of nanofibres prevents penetration of dust particles into the filter medium and deep-bed filtration. The filtered dust which remains on the surface of the filter cartridge is removed automatically during operation by the integrated cleaning system. This increases the service life of the filter considerably (approx. factor 2) compared to conventional filter cartridges.
