14 COMPRESSED AIR DIVISION Mattei has been producing air compressors since 1919: thanks to its know-how and technology, Mattei is the leader in the design and manufacture of rotary vane compressors. From 1.5 up to 250 kw: a wide range of products allows Mattei to provide ideal solutions to meet the requirements of small, medium and large-sized industrial installations. Pg. 14

15 COMPRESSORS FOR INDUSTRY Thanks to its low rotational speed and rotary vane technology, Mattei compressors are unique in ensuring the maximum efficiency in the process of compressing air. Energy consumption is the main cost of an air compressor throughout its entire operating life. 16 STANDARD RANGE Mattei is the first worldwide company supplying rotary vane compressors: the standard range includes models from 1.5 up to 250 kw, free air deliveries 0.16 m 3 /min to 44 m 3 /min, including a wide range of versions: models fitted on base without enclosure and a complete range of machines with super-silenced enclosures, to meet the demand of low noise levels. Enea Mattei has been involved for years now in energy saving and environmental impact topics. OPTIMA and MAXIMA Series are product ranges able to guarantee a high energy efficiency, allowing energy saving and reduced waste. Pg. 22

23 OPTIMA Series - suitable for variable air consumption The combination between inverter technology (new generation) and the extraordinary efficiency of Mattei rotary compressors. 24 MAXIMA Series - ideal for continuous and constant compressed air delivery MAXIMA is mainly for users who require a constant and continuous supply of compressed air. It is a machine having unequalled performance on the market as little as 5.4 kw/m 3 /minute with a very low noise level: just 70 db(a) for the 110 kw model. models from 30 to 160 kw with F.A.D. from 6.45 to 31.8 m 3 /minute at 7.5 bar working pressure low rotational speed, only 1000 r.p.m. the cooling system is variable according to the work load and environment conditions. 25 CONTROL AND MONITORING SYSTEMS MULTICOMP II MAESTRO XS Multicomp II optimises the operation of the system, reducing the energy costs to the minimum. Multicomp II keeps the line pressure within a preset modulating range and adjusts the compressed air production to the actual air system demand. Maestro XS programmable system is fitted as standard on Mattei air compressors. When connected to other MAESTRO XS -equipped compressed air packages, it becomes the master controller of a compressed air distribution system, thus saving on the installation of an additional controller; and has three operating modes: Sequence: first in-first out Cascade: first in-last out Equal hours: keeps the operating hours for all compressors in the system equal. 26 MIEM - Mattei Intelligent Energy Management Mattei has developed MIEM software for monitoring the compressed air production system: MIEM provides a computer simulation of an operating compressor, to evaluate if there is a more energy efficient solution available. The system is practically a mains analyzer: it may be set as an analyzer for data detection for MIEM or as an advanced diagnostics system. Mattei performs more than 200 energy analyses per year with a success of sales around 45%. Pg. 26

29 CONDENSATE SEPARATORS A complete range of Mattei products for condensate treatment guarantees clean and dry air. Cyclone condensate separators are suitable for removing water contained in the compressed air. 30 VERTICAL RECEIVERS AND FILTERS The installation of a storage receiver allows for improved pressure stability in the air system, provides for possible peaks in the air demand, and helps to optimise the operation of the compressor. Mattei s product range includes receivers from 500 up to 5000 litres, painted or galvanized, with pressures up to 15 bar. Receivers with higher capacity available upon request. The installation of Mattei FM filters can guarantee technically oil free compressed air.
