7 Efficiently powerful. Powering the 2019 Elantra is a 2.0L engine delivering 147 horsepower, which can be paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The standard 6-speed manual transmission includes an EcoShift indicator that identifies ideal shifting points to help you save fuel, while the available 6-speed automatic features SHIFTRONIC manual shift mode for an engaging driving experience. Designed with purpose, optimized aerodynamic lines of the integrated rear spoiler and undercarriage contribute to reduce drag, while the integrated air vents on each side of the lower front bumper minimize air twisting around the wheel to provide less resistance. The result is enhanced drivability and fuel efficiency.

The Elantra features our available Hyundai SmartSense safety technologies a suite of advanced driver assistance systems that Hyundai offers to help alert you to, and even avoid, unexpected dangers on the road. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection1 Blind-Spot Collision Warning2 Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keeping Assist3 This safety innovation detects rapid closing distances to the vehicle ahead and pedestrians in your path. If a potential forward collision is detected, audible and visual warning notifications will alert the driver. If the driver does not react to avoid the impact, the system can provide full braking assistance. To help you change lanes with confidence, Blind-Spot Collision Warning uses radar to detect when a vehicle is in your blind spot. It works in conjunction with Lane Change Assist, which measures the approaching speed of the vehicle in the lane next to you to help determine if a lane change is safe. Start drifting outside of your lane without signalling and this system is designed to inform you with audible and visual cues. Lane Keeping Assist will help steer you back within your lane markings if no action is taken. Driver Attention Warning4 Adaptive Cruise Control5 Safe Exit Alarm6 This innovative feature helps monitor driving patterns in order to detect fatigued driving. The system analyzes your driving, and if inattentive driving patterns are detected, an audible sound and message on the display panel will suggest a driving break. The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system takes basic cruise control to the next level of convenience. Set your pre-determined speed and distance to the vehicle ahead, and ACC will automatically adjust your speed to maintain the set distance. When the Elantra is pulled over and you are ready to exit, this safety feature sounds an alarm if a vehicle is detected approaching from behind, to help warn passengers from exiting the car into oncoming traffic. The technology even works when the ignition is turned off.

13 The SUPERSTRUCTURE. At the core of the Elantra is the SUPERSTRUCTURE, a state-of-the-art platform built with our very own Advanced High-Strength Steel to deliver exceptional stiffness and strength. In the event of a collision, the SUPERSTRUCTURE helps protect occupants inside the vehicle by absorbing harmful energy and redirecting it away from the passenger compartment. Parking Distance Warning Reverse Parking Distance Warning sensors help relieve stress when reversing into tight parking spaces. Sensors mounted in the rear bumper will provide audible alerts with increasing frequency as you approach objects behind you. Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning7 When reversing out of areas with low visibility, this system warns the driver if a vehicle approaches from either side, even before they appear in the standard rearview camera.

FCA will not detect all vehicles and objects. FCA will not work on winding or hilly roads, during certain weather conditions such as rain, snow, fog and any other times of limited visibility. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) initiates full braking at speeds between 10 and 80 km/h (vehicle detection) or 10 to 64 km/h (pedestrian detection, when equipped). When equipped with pedestrian detection, FCA will not detect all pedestrians under certain conditions. See Owner s Manual for detailed descriptions of example conditions in which FCA may not detect a pedestrian. FCA is not a substitute for safe driving. Always check your surroundings when driving. See Owner s Manual for further details and limitations. 2 Never rely completely on Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and be sure to use proper lane changing procedures. See Owner s Manual for further details and limitations. 3 The Lane Departure Warning System with Lane Keeping Assist operates above approximately 64 km/h and only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road and detected by the system. Refer to Owner s Manual for further details and limitations. 4 Driver Attention Warning (DAW) is only a notification system and will not influence the direction or speed of the vehicle. DAW will not prevent accidents. DAW does not replace attentive and safe driving. Always ensure that you pay careful attention while driving. See Owner s Manual for further details and limitations. 5 Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is not a collision avoidance or warning device. ACC is for highway use only and should not be used in poor weather, heavy or varying traffic, or on winding or slippery roads. Driver remains responsible to slow or stop the vehicle to avoid a collision. ACC will automatically disengage at speeds under 10 km/h and under other specific circumstances set forth in the Owner s Manual. See Owner s Manual for further details and limitations. 6 When the vehicle is parked, Safe Exit Alarm (SEA) can alert occupants planning to exit the vehicle when a vehicle is approaching from behind. SEA does not prevent occupants from exiting. SEA may not detect every vehicle and may not avoid an accident. SEA is not a substitute for attentive operation of the vehicle. Always monitor the vehicle s surroundings before any passengers exit the vehicle. Safe Alarm Exit turns off 10 minutes after ignition is turned off. See Owner s Manual for important details and limitations. 7 Never rely exclusively on the Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning. Always look over your shoulder and use your mirrors to confirm rear clearance. There are limitations to the function, detection, range and clarity of the system.
