Lauderdale, FL Women s car buying power is at its highest. In fact, women now purchase 65% of new cars and influence over 80% of all car buying choices (1). The Women s Choice Award (WCA) is the only national auto award to consider the needs and preferences of women within its methodology. According to a national study conducted by the WCA, value, safety and reliability, in that order, are the top three considerations ranked highest among women when purchasing a car. Awarded auto manufacturers will be celebrated through a number of planned activities at the LA Auto Show on November 28-29th. The LA Auto Show team, our partners at ALG and TrueCar, and enthusiasm from the manufacturers is welcomed support of our mission to empower the female consumer. Our goal for launching the award at the LA Auto Show is to drive more visibility for the needs and preferences of the female car buyer, from conception to purchasing, and beyond, says Delia Passi, CEO and Founder of the Women s Choice Award. The Women s Choice Award for Cars and Trucks has four distinct award categories - Safety, Reliability, Family-friendly and Eco-friendly. With each award, vehicles are classified into nine popular segments such as sedan, coupe, crossover and SUV. Vehicles are given scores based on the factors women reported to be most important when choosing a new car or truck to purchase.

2 How Brands Earn the Best Cars & Trucks Award: Resulting from the national study of female consumers, the Women s Choice Award developed four overarching automotive awards: Safety; Reliability; Family-friendly; Eco-friendly. For each field, a variety of criteria were compiled and weighed accordingly, based on the automotive models that meet her needs and preferences. Women also spend over $200 billion per year on new vehicles and mechanical servicing of vehicles each year 3. Unfortunately however, 75% of women don t feel confident about car-buying 4 and most feel misunderstood by car marketers. The Women s Choice Award is a seamless solution for female consumers looking to purchase and service their vehicles, and the dealerships looking to attract them. In a 2017 independent study, hundreds of women across America were shown two identical car advertisements, one with the Women s Choice Award seal and one without. Seventy-five percent of the women were more confident about purchasing or leasing the car that prominently displayed the Women s Choice Award within the ad. In fact, 75% of women expressed that they would feel
