3 table of contents About ICS Product History Saw Selection Chain Selection Gas Saws Hydraulic Saws Accessories Product History Whether it is pioneering new concrete cutting technology, launching the world s first gas powered concrete chain saw or developing a better way to cut ductile iron pipe, ICS has a long history of innovation, starting with an R&D exercise within Blount, Inc. that lead to its first patent for Diamond Chain Technology (DCT ) in A year later, the 801H hydraulic saw advanced the launch of the ICS brand in the USA and Europe. Over the course of two decades, ICS continued to leverage its industry knowledge and unique expertise to take the science of DCT in new and inventive directions saw the birth of the first saw to be completely designed by ICS, the 823H hydraulic saw. It was during this first decade that ICS also developed and unveiled the 623G, the first gasoline-powered concrete chain saw. In 1996, ICS used special grade diamonds and stronger chain chassis elements to create the first diamond chain engineered specifically for professional concrete cutters. This was followed by the patented SealPRO o-ring technology in 2000, a major improvement that advanced DCT to a new level of durability and ease of use. In 2008, ICS continued its tradition of ingenuity by launching FORCE4, the toughest diamond chain technology ICS has ever created, paving the way for the 880F4 saw that same year and the new CWS-200, track mounted saw and new PowerGrit Utility Saw Chain for cutting ductile iron pipe, both introduced in Most recently in 2011, ICS launched the 695GC and 695F4 gas powered concrete chain saws.
