This tiny Chicago release hardly ever crops up for sale. D EDWARD HAMILTON BABY DON T YOU WEEP MARY JANE VG A classic piece of Detroit soul, apparently a little rarer with the legend A Mike terry Arr on the label. E THE JADES I M WHERE ITS AT NITE LIFE VG Actually discovered in Accrington back in 75 and not too many copies have cropped up since. Turned into a Wigan biggie by R. Searling and the same copy into corrugated vinyl by one D. McCadden (R.I.P) courtesy of the local chipshop frying range! This particular copy will satisfy your needs provided you keep it away from a hot pie range. F LEON PETERSON NOW YOU RE ON YOUR OWN SKYLARK 501 VG One of the rarest early soul dancers anywhere around...you might wait a long time before you see another. G SAM WILLIAMS LOVE SLIPPED THROUGH MY FINGERS TOWER 367 VG One of Northern Soul s greatest moments on a used copy that doesn t sound bad at all once you get past the 2 second cue burn.

Two fabulous sides mean that a piece of cellotape isn t much use but it hardly sounds to be honest. Check the soundbite. K LINDA JONES I JUST CAN T LIVE MY WARNER BROS. VG LIFE 7218 Did you know that Frank Sinatra owned a hefty part of Warner Bros Records? He got it when he sold them his Reprise label. Doubtless he never heard of this piece of monumental soul, which was the finest moment for the entire label bar none. L GARY HAINES KEEP ON GOING SOUND 110 VG+ 200 One of the cleverest boots around is the issue copy of this one which is basically just missing the Nashville Matrix stamp. No such problem on the rare promo copy. M JUDY FREEMAN HOLD ON RCA 0493 D M- 200 Some Northern records break away from the template and here is one great example. Took the scene by storm back in 1976 and still sounds fantastic today. Backing group is the California Rock Choir as per Cyclone Records incidentally. N BILLY PROPHET WHAT CAN I DO SUE 133 VG+ 300 For an obscure, non-hit, this disc has an amazing amount of formats one sided promos, one sided issues that don t say promo but must be, regular issues and two-sided promos with the excellent Sad Sam on.
