Register by contacting Lalondes at Cost is $ per team. Each team can have a maximum of 3 cars. (does not include fair admission) Types of Vehicle: Any stock v8 car; there is no age restriction. No hurst's, limos, 4x4's, Elcaminos or all wheel drive vehicles will be permitted. RULES: Stripping of a vehicle All glass, door handles, moldings, locks, mirrors, spoilers, etc must be removed. All interior must be removed except the dash; remember anything that can burn is a fire hazard and is dangerous for you. Large holes in the floor must be covered. (Ex. body tin and self tapping screws.) All wheel weights must be removed Trailer hitches must be completely removed. Air conditioning rads must be disconnected but may stay in the car. RE-ENFORCEMENTS: There are only 4 reinforcements allowed. 1) Side to side bar max 3"round or square 2) Drivers door plate: Maximum 18" wide and 4" passed the driver's door 3/16" is the maximum thickness and is only allowed on the driver's door. If you choose a door bar instead it must be on the inside of the door and can only pass the door by 4" on either side. 3) Scatter shield or windshield bar.

2 4) Motor mounts may be chained but the chain must be bolted not welded. No welding on motor mounts. WELDING RULES: only the side to side bar and the driver's door plate/bar and the fuel cell bracket may be welded. That is it. Scatter shield or bar may only be bolted. There is no other welding allowed. DOORS, TRUNK, HOOD: These can only be wired or tied with seatbelts. Each door, trunk, hood, must be fastened in a minimum of 4 places, but up to 6 places each. Over use of materials is at the inspectors discretion. There must be an opening cut in the hood directly above the engine 16"x16" BATTERY: Battery must be on the floor the front passengers space and securely fastened and covered. the battery must be inside something. Ex: milk crate battery box, etc. GAS TANKS: Cars may have a push button to start as long as they also have a proper kill switch. No floating fuel cells. Fuel tanks must be a steel boat marine tank or a csa approved fuel cell. It must be strapped tight to the floor in the middle of the vehicle in the back seat compartment. There must be a fuel shut off switch mounted on the dash or scatter shield bar. The area must be sprayed bright to see it clearly and the "on/off" position marked as well. Old carb engines will not have this. TIRES: p 235/75/15 p 225/65/16 All vehicles must have a working fire extinguisher. This is for the officials to save you! largest tire sizes allowed are:

3 p 225/65/17 NO LT TIRES ALLOWED. NO OVER AGGRESSIVE LUGS OR TIRES WITH SIDE LUG. (For crowd safety) Remember this is a STOCK derby: There is absolutely no bumper swaps no engine swaps no no no swaps at all No welding anywhere else other then the above mentioned. Which also means no patched frames. Pre-bending: only minor pre-bending is allowed. Nothing that looks like a pro-mod or an El Camino. Each V8 team will have a maximum of three cars. Each team will choose a captain; and the captain of the team is the V8 inspector. each team will have only that 1 member that is to inspect all the other v8 cars to make sure all the rules have been followed; not the whole team. If a V8 car is found to have a cheat the entire team will be disqualified, not just the cheated car. And remember some inspectors might be mechanics and they will find your cheat. (stranger team will only have the cheated car disqualified not the whole team they don't know eachother; therefore that is not fair and starting with the disadvantage will be punishment enough.) All v8 cars must be on site by 9am. All team cars must be base painted the same color. You must pre-book your color when preregistering because no 2 teams can be the same color. There is 1 team reserved for those who cannot make a team. This will be made of 3 strangers who each pay 1/3rd the entry. But for this team there will be no captain and no inspector.

4 FLAGS green go red stop Black flag disqualified White flag driver wants out Each driver is given a white flag. if the driver puts the white flag up the derby will be stopped and the driver will be removed from the car No accidents will be excused, if the flag goes up; the driver is removed from the car. Selling your vehicle: You are always welcome to take it home You may sell it to Lalonde's towing Payouts for v8 team derby only. Prizes to 1st and 2nd only (9 teams) 1st: $ team trophy + individual trophies 2nd: $ Prizes to 1st and 2nd 0nly (12 teams max) 1st: $ team trophy + individual trophy
