14 Rally watch set Monitor your times in regularity races with the rally watch set from the Mercedes-Benz Classic Selection. The set will not only impress professional classic car rally drivers but also makes the ideal exclusive timepiece for the desk of any classic car fan. The individual design of the mechanical watch and the mechanical chronograph was developed in close collaboration with the Mercedes-Benz Design department. The watch and chronograph, both hand-wound, are secured to a stainless steel plate with a high-sheen polish. The set is supplied mounted on a refined wooden base, with a black high-gloss piano lacquer finish.

17 Timepieces SL chronograph watch This watch, available in a limited edition of 300 worldwide, features a refined automatic movement, manufactured by the Swiss company ETA, inside a stainless steel case. The design was exclusively created for the Mercedes-Benz Classic Selection by the Mercedes-Benz Design department and is based on the dashboard of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. The watch is fitted with a stainless steel strap and is supplied with two additional, interchangeable straps. The red leather strap echoes the famous interior of many 300 SL models, while the brown leather strap echoes the leather straps on the bonnet of the 300 SL Carrera Panamericana. The dial features a prismatic Mercedes-Benz star logo and the 300 SL logo. 300 SL chronograph watch B The watch is packaged in an elegant wooden box with a black piano lacquer finish, the top of which features the vintage Mercedes-Benz star logo. The chronograph watch is tested to 5 ATM and comes with a three-year warranty. All watches feature a serial number. 55 Miniatures 55 Mercedes-Autoboot The new Mercedes-Benz Classic Selection marks a chapter in the company s history which is little known even among aficionados: historic boats. Gottlieb Daimler not only devoted himself to building cars but was keen to fit his small, fastrunning petrol engine in airborne and waterborne vehicles too. In the same year that Gottlieb Daimler built the first four-wheeled car, he registered a patent for a boat engine and undertook his first trial trips on the River Neckar. In this respect Daimler can also be seen as the father of the motorboat industry. In the following years there was huge development in maritime construction. The demand for boat engines rose significantly. One famous boat from the period was the Boot Marie, which was delivered to the Iron Chancellor Prince Otto von Bismarck. 56 56 Numerous speedboats with Daimler engines achieved considerable racing success. Oceangoing cargo boats, speedboats and pleasure boats were also equipped with Daimler engines. As was the elegant Mercedes-Autoboot. The design of the two exclusive boat models, each available in a limited edition of 500, is based on details taken from the original brochure in the Mercedes-Benz archive. A reprint of the brochure is supplied with each model. As a special extra, the models are also supplied with a display case kit.
