4 Company s Background Trio Paper Mills Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated on 17 January 1972 under the Companies Arts, Our Company is principally engaged in the business of manufacturing of recycled paper for use in corrugated board and carton box products. Currently, TPM manufactures 4 types of papers namely joss paper, corrugated medium paper, core board, and Chip board. The principle place of business of TPM is located at Kawasan Perindustrian IKS Tasek, Simpang Ampat, Seberang Perai Selatan, Pulau Pinang. The number of employees as at 31 December 2007 was 134 inclusive of 66 contract workers hired from Universal Mutual Sdn. Bhd. Today, Trio Paper Mills is a wholly owned subsidiary of HPI Resources Berhad, a listed company on the 2 nd Board of Bursa Malaysia.
