6 Teamwork is essential and strongly encouraged with the more senior staff guiding the junior ones. Regular meetings are held to update and keep everyone in the loop. The main entrance to the POSCO-MALAYSIA plant in Pulau Indah is secured round the clock. In the background are the loading bays. The POSCO-MALAYSIA offices house some 100 employees -- mostly local -- who receive on the job training that not only enhance their knowledge of EGI technology but the opportunity to also hone their skills, considered necessary for running a plant of this stature. Developing the right human resource and capital is POSCO-MALAYSIA s exemplary contribution to making the steel industry here a leading one.
