CUCET Applicants Interview cum Admission Notice Course: Ph.D. in Nanotechnology (Session: 2016) Date: 04 th Augsut Based on the CUCET 2016 score, the following applicants are called for Ph.D. Admission Interview at Central University of Jharkhand for the above mentioned course. They are directed to appear in the interview as per instructions mentioned on the University website In case of any discrepancy in the list, the same may kindly be brought into the notice of the University by sending at: admissions2016@cuj.ac.in latest by 10 th August The admission will be done on the basis of merit scores of CUCET 2016 following minimum eligibility criteria, interview and employing standard weightage criteria. The Merit list of general CUCET applicants (except eligible JRF CUCET candidates) will be prepared following method. For CUCET Applicants A For marks obtained in CUCET % B For having qualified the UGC / CSIR NET (Lectureship/ Assistant Professor) examination in the concerned/relevant discipline* or 10% having valid GATE score in the concerned/relevant discipline.* C For percentage of marks obtained in the Post-Graduation Degree, in the concerned / relevant discipline.* 10 % D For Personal Interview 40 % B. Notice for UGC/CSIR (JRF) Qualified Applicants 1. Apart from the above mentioned applicants, UGC/ CSIR (JRF) qualified candidates in the concerned/ relevant discipline are directly invited for the interview. The valid JRF ship/ scholarship will be considered under this category. 2. The NET with JRF or GATE with fellowship applicants shall be over and above (additional) the approved seats. 3. Such candidates are directed to report on the date of interview as per the instructions mentioned on the University website 4. The admission will be done on the basis of merit scores of CUCET 2016 following minimum eligibility criteria, interview and employing standard weightage criteria. a) Successful JRF candidates, who also appeared in CUCET 2016 will be treated as JRF Candidate Only and their merit list will be prepared following method. The JRF ship will only be considered after producing valid JRF document. For JRF Qualified Applicants (obtained through National Level Exam / Interview) A For percentage of marks obtained in the Post-Graduation Degree in the concerned / relevant discipline.* 50 % B For Personal Interview 50 % b) Apart from the above mentioned applicants, UGC/ CSIR (JRF) qualified candidates who had applied through CUCET 2016 and exempted from the entrance 1

2 examination (CUCET 2016), or who had NOT applied through CUCET 2016 are eligible to appear in Ph.D. interview for the admission in the concerned/ relevant discipline. 5. The JRF candidate, who had NOT applied through CUCET 2016, will need to fill an application form and to submit on or before date of interview. 6. It is to note that the Fellowship/ JRF ship will only be considered after producing valid fellowship document i.e., the certificate must be within the validity period as mentioned by UGC/ CSIR and the date of issuance of the certificate must be on or before the last date of the application (i.e., 22 nd April 2016). General Instructions (For CUCET Applicants and JRF Qualified Applicants) 1. Admission Interview: 19 th August 2016 (Reporting time by 10:00 am to 12:00 noon) 2. All Interested candidates are advised to refer PhD admission guidelines available on the University Website. 3. The order of the merit will be finalized after actual verification from ORIGINAL mark sheet / certificates etc. 4. Candidates are advised to see other important admission related documents (Admission procedure, documents required at the time of interview, Course Fee etc.) uploaded in the PhD Admission Page of University Website. 5. All interested candidates need to report to the Respective Centre(s) at Central University of Jharkhand, Brambe Campus, Ranchi before 12:00 noon on the respective dates to book their candidature against the vacant seats. Timely reporting is necessary for booking your candidature for admission. Late reported candidate(s) will not be entertained at any circumstances. 6. Interested PhD Candidates will have to produce/ submit to all required documents during the time of interview for verification. The candidature of the candidate will be decided after the document verification. The Merit List will be prepared after proper verification of documents of the reported candidates. 7. OBC candidates will have to produce the OBC certificate (Non Creamy Layer) in the prescribed format. No extra time will be given to the OBC candidates for producing the certificate and therefore their candidature will be considered as unreserved. 8. Venue for admission: Respective Centre, Central University of Jharkhand, Brambe Campus, Old CTI Building, Brambe, Ranchi-Lohardaga Road, Ranchi , Jharkhand. 9.
