4 C ADJUSTABLE WEIGHT SHEAVE F687 Z-Trak Mower Easy-to-operate controls The drive shaft has an adjustable-weight sheave to counterbalance the high and low spots of shaft vibration, which is similar to how a tire is balanced. F687 Z-Trak Mowers are balanced at the factory, providing a smooth ride as well as reduced noise and vibration. OPERATOR COMFORT Open operator station for ease of getting on and off the unit. The lights are covered in a non-glare film that allows the lights to be clearly viewed even in direct and bright sunlight. LARGE FUEL TANK The seat cowling raises up for excellent access to all parts of the machine for servicing. Safety latch locks cowling in raised position. Service interval guide decal is located on top of oil reservoir. The enclosed cowling design reduces noise and heat for superior operator comfort. 48-, 54-, OR 60-INCH 7-IRON COMMERCIAL MOWER DECKS The F687 Z-Trak Mower has one side-mounted 6.8 U.S. gallon fuel tank to provide up to a full day s running without refueling. DRIVE TIRES The F687 comes with side discharge mower decks. The following decks are available: 48-in. 54-in. 60-in. F687 Standard Optional Optional Large 20x10-10 turf drive tires are standard equipment. 20x11-10 knobby drive tires are available for extra traction in tough conditions.

Stamped from a single sheet of steel so that there are no welds to wear or break. The design also provides a smooth underside, without corners, to reduce material buildup that would affect performance and cut quality. Deck is deeper, providing increased vacuum action and reducing dropped clippings. Plastic discharge chute reduces damage to foliage and resists bending. Rotates 90 degrees for service. Blade overlap is 40 mm, nearly 20 mm greater than previous decks to reduce striping between blades. 3-spindle design. Spindles greaseable from the top. Quick-attach design. PTO shaft drive. PTO SHAFT MOWER DECK DRIVE MOWER DECK HEIGHT-ADJUSTMENT PEDAL A B An easy-to-use cutting height pedal (A) permits the operator to adjust the mower deck height handle (B) with no tools and minimal effort. This design increases productivity by allowing the change of cutting length without having to leave the seat. MOWER DECK ROTATES Mower decks are driven by a splined shaft, which is driven by PTO shaft extending from engine. The drive shaft is turned on/off by an electric clutch. Mower deck rotates 90 degrees for service access or trailer transport. Safety latch locks mower in rotated position. Reduces overall length of machine by approximately 8-in. for added trailer space during transport. No tools required to rotate mower. Note: Use two people when rotating 60-in. mower. 10 C MULCHING ATTACHMENT F687 Z-Trak Mower SINGLE REAR WHEEL KIT The mulching attachment allows converting the 48-, 54-, and 60-in. 3-spindle mowers so they can be used to perform the mulching function (grass or leaves) of this system. The attachment consists of special mulching blades, mulch baffles to direct the clippings into the blade for recutting, and a discharge closure and hardware. Operating Tips Mow when grass is dry. Observe the 1/3 rule. No more than 1/3 of the grass blade should be cut off at one time. This allows more efficient mulching and will promote the continued good health of the grass. If the desired cut height can t be achieved by cutting off 1/3 or there is clumping of the clippings, it may be required to cut higher; wait a day then lower the mower and make a second pass. Mow at proper intervals approximately every 4 to 5 days. Always mow with sharp blades. If mulching performance is not satisfactory, raising the mower to increase cut height, even a little bit, will often make a big difference. Rotary Broom A snow blower, blade, debris blower, and rotary broom are available from Agro-Tec/RAD as allied attachments. These allied attachments will allow using the F687 for a multitude of jobs other than mowing. Note: Ballast is required for snow blower and broom attachments. They require an Agro-Tec/RAD weight bracket (Agro-Tec/RAD part number includes mounting hardware and instructions) and four John Deere suitcase weights (John Deere part number R66949). Hitch and subframe complete with lifting mechanism, footrest, electric actuator, and wiring harness are necessary requirements for all attachments.
