1 Installation Guide GE Healthcare Carescape Dual Display Roll Stand Kit The purpose of this guide is to describe assembly of the Roll Stand. WARNING - EXCESSIVE LEAKAGE CURRENT - DO NOT use multiple socket outlet or extension cord to power medical equipment attached to roll stands. Mounting Holes toward inside of Base Installation Note: Mounting holes in Counterweights must be oriented toward the inside of the Base as shown.

2 Assembling the Roll Stand Tools required 3/16'' hex wrench (provided) 1/8'' hex wrench (provided) 5/32'' hex wrench (provided) Phillips screwdriver (not provided) 9/64'' hex wrenches (provided) 1/2'' socket wrench (not provided) 1. Using 3/16'' hex wrench provided, fasten Counterweights to bottom of Base with six (6) 1/4-20 x 1-1/4'' SHCS. Mounting Holes toward inside of Base Installation Note: Mounting holes in Counterweights must be oriented toward the inside of the Base as shown. 3 Installing Components and Accessories on the Dual Channel Column 1. Dual Display Mounting Bar Using the 5/32'' hex wrench provided, fasten Dual Display Mounting Bar to swivel fitting (top of Column) with three (3) #10-32 x 3/4'' SHCS as shown. DU-GEM Rev B 11/7/12 GCX Corp. Page 3 of 10

4 Installation Note: Most channel-mounted components are mounted by inserting the Channel-Slide in the top of the Channel, moving the assembly to the desired mounting position and tightening one or more set screws. Numbered callouts indicate the order of component installation on the Dual Channel Column. The base unit must be installed in the Base Unit Mount before any other components are installed in the rear channel (see illustration below right). Insert channel slides in top of channel (front and rear) and move down to mounting position Installation Note: It may be necessary to swivel the Display Mount to access the top of the channel. 5. PDM Mount Insert in front channel. Tighten set screw with 1/8'' hex wrench provided. See page 4 for mounting mini dock or bedside dock. 2. Base Unit Mount Refer to separate Installation Guide. 4. Handle See below for mounting mini dock (included) and bedside dock (not included). Cable Management Arm Fasten mini dock to PDM Bracket with two (2) #10-32 x 3/8'' PHMS.

5 6. Cable Management Arm & Handle First, insert Cable Management Arm in rear channel. Tighten two (2) set screws with 1/8'' hex wrench provided. Second, insert Handle in rear channel. Using the 5/32'' hex wrench provided, tighten four (4) socket head screws to secure position in channel. Handle See below for mounting mini dock (included) and bedside dock (not included). Cable Management Arm Fasten mini dock to PDM Bracket with two (2) #10-32 x 3/8'' PHMS. Mini-dock and screws are provided in this kit. 6 Mounting the Displays on the Roll Stand Installation Note: These instructions apply to 15'' or 19'' display. Attachment of only the right side Display Mounting Bracket is shown here. Same instructions apply to left side Display Mounting Bracket. 1. Fasten Display Mounting Bracket to 100 x 100 mm mounting pattern on rear of display with four (4) M4 x 14 mm FHMS. 2. Fasten Mounting Adapter to 75 x 75 mm mounting pattern on rear of display with four (4) #8-32 x 5/16'' PHMS. DU-GEM Rev B 11/7/12 GCX Corp. Page 6 of 10

7 3. Slide Mounting Adapter into mounting plate. Pull Plunger and continue sliding monitor until Plunger snaps into clearance hole. Instruction applies to both displays. 4. Tighten all Nylon screws on rear of Mounting Plates. DU-GEM Rev B 11/7/12 GCX Corp. Page 7 of 10

8 Mounting the Power Supply Bracket Power Supply Bracket 1. Fasten Power Supply Bracket to a corresponding twohole mounting pattern on either side of Display Mounting Bracket with two (2) #10-23 x 5/16'' FHMS. Installation Note: Attachment of Power Supply Bracket is shown on unmounted display for clarity. Multiple mounting positions are available to accommodate your specific application. Cable Retainer #8 Flat Washer (1) #8-32 x 1/4'' PHMS (1) 2. Mount power supply and secure with hook-and-loop straps. Unscrew Cable Clamp, press cable inside Clamp, and reinstall Clamp. There are multiple locations for installing the Cable Clamps. Making Adjustments to the Display Bar Horizontal Adjustment The two (2) Display Mounts may be adjusted horizontally to accommodate two (2) flat panel displays with enclosures up to 21'' in width (not

Note: This adjustment may affect both horizontal movement and swivel tension of the display. Ideally, this adjustment would allow the display to swivel but not move horizontally.

10 Making Adjustments to the Display Bar Horizontal Adjustment The two (2) Display Mounts may be adjusted horizontally to accommodate two (2) flat panel displays with enclosures up to 21'' in width (not diagonal measurement). Using a 1/2'' [13 mm] wrench, loosen the nut on the bottom of the Display Bar. Move display to desired position and tighten nut. Note: This adjustment may affect both horizontal movement and swivel tension of the display. Ideally, this adjustment would allow the display to swivel but not move horizontally. Swiveling the Display Swivel displays individually (limited to ± 15º) or swivel the Display Bar, Arm, or Roll Stand. Adjusting Swivel Tension Using a 1/2'' [13 mm] wrench, tighten or loosen the Swivel Tension Nut as required to achieve desired tension. See Horizontal Adjustment "Note" above. Horizontal Adjustment & Swivel Tension Nut (bottom view) Adjusting Tilt Lever provides ratchet-style adjustment. Turn the Tilt Adjustment Lever counterclockwise (CCW) to loosen. Grasp display and tilt to desired angle. Turn Lever clockwise (CW) to tighten and lock position Tilt Adjustment Lever Adjusting Tilt Tension Using the 5/32'' hex wrench (provided), equally tighten or loosen the two (2) Tilt Tension Screws. Once desired tilt tension is set, use the Tilt Adjustment Lever to fine tune/lock the tilt position. Tilt Tension Screws (2) Adjusting Swivel and Pivot Tension on Cable Management Arm To adjust swivel or pivot tension, loosen or tighten the swivel tension nut (front end) or pivot tension bolts (center and rear of arm) with a 1/2'' socket head wrench. Pivot Bolt Swivel Nut Routine Maintenance Periodically inspect all mounting hardware. Tighten or adjust as necessary for optimal operation. Pivot Bolt Cleaning the Mounting Assembly 1. The mounting assembly may be cleaned with most mild, non-abrasive solutions commonly used in the hospital environment (e.g. diluted bleach, ammonia, or alcohol solutions). 2. The surface finish will be permanently damaged by strong chemicals and solvents such as acetone and trichloroethylene. 3. Do not use steel wool or other abrasive material to clean the mounting assembly. 4. Damage caused by the use of unapproved substances or processes will not be covered by warranty. We recommend testing oft any cleaning solution on a small area of the mounting assembly that is not visible to verify compatibility. 5. Never submerge the roll stand or allow liquids to enter the mounting assemblies Wipe any cleaning agents off the mounting assembly immediately using a water-dampened cloth. Dry all mounting assemblies thoroughly after cleaning. CAUTION: GCX makes no claims regarding the efficacy of the listed chemicals or processes as a means for controlling infection. Consult your hospital s infection control officer or epidemiologist.
