3 CONSTRUCTION * BED, COLUMN AND BRIDGE: The base, column and bridge are constructed with reinforced steel. Extra webbing provides additional support for the axis. The columns on the machine are extremely wide providing full support for the bridge. The bridge design provides added rigidity and support to the tool. All critical components are pinned to ensure that machine geometry is maintained. * GUIDEWAYS: The axes are standard with heavy-duty 45 mm linear roller guide ways. Roller type guide ways have 44% more contact than standard linear ways. The guide ways are widely spacedto minimize table pitch and deformation. The guide ways are placed against shoulders to maximize rigidity and geometry. Six linear roller bearings are standard for the Z and Y axis. * SPINDLE: The 10,000 rpm spindle or optional 15,000 rpm cartridge style spindle is standard with a Big Plus dual contact technology. Taper and face contact proves to provide the most rigidity allowing for decreased tool deflection and cycle times. The permanently greased spindle bearings require no maintenance. The 10,000 rpm spindle is driven by a 2 speed 24/15HP (18/11 kw) In-line AC servo motor. In-line motor designs reduce vibration and heat improving part finishes and tolerances. The four 70mm ceramic spindle bearings help minimize thermal growth on the 15,000 rpm spindle. Rigid tapping is standard. A high torque spindle option is available that limits the standard spindle rpm to 8000 but increases the spindle torque to 310 ft-lb. * BALL SCREWS AND AXIS DRIVES: Each axis is driven using a high precision, fully ground ball screw. Each of the axes ball screws are double anchored to allow exceptionally fast feedrates. All the ball screws are supported using angular contact thrust bearings and are perfectly centered between the linear guide ways. * OPTIONAL AUTOMATIC TOOL CHANGER: The 24 pocket carousel ATC provides reliable tool changes. Remote tool changer control is included. * FLOOD COOLANT SYSTEM: A dedicated flood pump provides high volume coolant to the machine tool. The 100 gallon coolant tank provides adequate capacity for any application. Dual chip augers are included, that discharge into chip drawers. An optional chip conveyor is also available that is used in conjunction with the dual chip augers. * OPTIONAL MACHINE ENCLOSURE: The machine enclosure is made of heavy duty sheet metal to contain the chips and coolant. The removable side doors allow direct access to the inside of the machine. Dual augers remove chips effectively from the machine into chip drawers, or an optional conveyor is available in lieu of the chip drawers. * LUBRICATION: Automatic lubrication is provided to the linear guide ways and ball screws via way oil. Oil is delivered by metered valves, which precisely control the volume. A low-level alarm on the CNC warns the user preventing possible damage to the guide ways and ball screws. * OIL SPINDLE CHILLER: Thermal growth of the spindle is reduced by using a refrigeration system that circulates cooled oil around the spindle increasing the accuracy and promoting longer spindle life. * EDIT KEY: The edit key enables protection of programs as well as parameters of the 8200-B CNC control. Removal of the key limits a user from loading programs and parameters such as work coordinates and tool offsets. With the edit key in the off position the data in the CNC control is available for editing. BR8150IL, Page 3 of 12

12 LIMITED WARRANTY ON ALL NEW MILLTRONICS MANUFACTURING COMPANY MACHINES Marketed under the commercial name of Milltronics Manufacturing Company. This warranty does not apply to equipment manufactured and sold by the International Machine Tools or Partner Machines divisions of Milltronics Manufacturing Company. Such equipment has a separate limited warranty. United States and Canada Shipments Milltronics Manufacturing Company, Inc. ( Milltronics or Company ) warrants all of their CNC machines ( Machines ) and the Milltronics CNC Systems supplied with these Machines shall be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service for a period of one year beginning 30 days from the date of shipment from Milltronics. This warranty is limited to all factory supplied parts and accessories as indicated on the original purchase order as accepted by Milltronics. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only or the original end user if the equipment is financed by a third party ( Buyer ). Warranty is not transferable. Labor necessary to repair failures due to normal wear, workmanship, or through normal use during this warranty period shall be obtained by Buyer from the local distributor or dealer and is not the responsibility of Milltronics. Milltronics liability for breach of warranty shall arise only upon the return of the defective parts at Buyer s expense after notice to Milltronics of claimed breach, and shall be limited to replacing or repairing, at Milltronics option, at its factory, any of said articles which shall within one (1) year after shipment be returned to Milltronics factory of origin, transportation charges prepaid, and which are, after examination, disclosed to Milltronics satisfaction to be defective. Notice to Milltronics of claimed defects discoverable by inspection must be given in writing within ten (10) days after receipt of shipment. Milltronics will pay outbound shipping charges on warranty parts. Outbound shipping method to be determined by Milltronics. Associated costs such as Duties, Taxes and Customs Brokerage are not covered under this warranty. Return freight of defective items is not included unless pre-approved in writing by authorized personnel. This warranty shall not apply to any of such articles which shall have been repaired or altered, except by Milltronics, or which shall have been subjected to misuse, negligence, or accident. The aforementioned provisions do not extend the original warranty period of any articles, which have either been repaired or replaced by Milltronics. Neither the Machines nor the Milltronics CNC Systems warranty will cover parts that are damaged or have failed due to abuse, improper operation, weather, acts of God, terrorism or shipping. No Milltronics warranty covers damage to fixtures, tools, or parts, regardless of the cause of this damage. Accessories not supplied by Milltronics are not covered under this warranty, and any alterations to the Machines or Milltronics CNC Systems done by other than Milltronics' authorized personnel, unless approved by Milltronics' personnel in writing, shall void any warranties. EXCEPT AS SET FORTH IN ABOVE, THE COMPANY MAKES NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE MACHINES OR THE CENTURION CNC SYSTEMS, OR THEIR CONDITION, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR USE BY CUSTOMER. THE COMPANY FURNISHES THE ABOVE WARRANTIES IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. MILLTRONICS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY (A) SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THIS WARRANTY, THE BREACH OF ANY AGREEMENT OR ORDER OR THE OPERATION OR USE OF THE MACHINES OR CENTURION CNC SYSTEMS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES ARISING FROM DAMAGE TO FIXTURES, TOOLS, PARTS OR MATERIALS, LOSS OF DATA OR PROGRAMMING, DIRECT OR INDIRECT LOSS CAUSED BY THE DISTRIBUTOR OR DEALER REPRESENTATIVE, LOSS OF REVENUE OR PROFITS, FAILURE TO REALIZE SAVINGS OR OTHER BENEFITS, DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT, FINANCING OR INTEREST CHARGES, AND CLAIMS AGAINST CUSTOMER BY ANY THIRD PERSON, EVEN IF MILLTRONICS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES; (B) DAMAGES (REGARDLESS OF THEIR NATURE) FOR ANY DELAY OR FAILURE BY THE COMPANY TO PERFORM ITS OBLIGATIONS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT DUE TO ANY CAUSE BEYOND THE COMPANY'S REASONABLE CONTROL; OR (C) CLAIMS MADE A SUBJECT OF A LEGAL PROCEEDING AGAINST THE COMPANY MORE THAN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER ANY SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION FIRST AROSE. The validity, construction and performance of this warranty and any sale made by Milltronics shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflicts of laws provisions of any jurisdiction and any action related in any way to any alleged or actual offer, acceptance or sale by Milltronics or any claim related to performance or agreement or warranty by Buyer or Milltronics shall be venued in federal or state district court in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
