2 TOYOTA TUNDRA Black Laser Cut Grille Inspect parts for damage or paint defects. 1. Open the hood and use a 10mm socket to remove the four upper 10mm hex screws. 2. Use a plastic clip removal tool to remove the two factory push pins securing the top outer portions of the factory grille. 3. Apply masking tape to the chrome or painted factory surround (optional). Lift up on the upper mounting tabs to clear the threaded plastic inserts. Give the grille several quick, firm pulls to release the lower mounting tabs from across the lower mounting panel. 4. Place the grille onto a flat, clean work area. Remove the factory Phillips screws from the back of the grille and unclip the factory insert using a nylon clip removal tool. The factory insert will not be reused. Only the chrome or painted surround will be reused. Save 2 screws for securing the corner brackets (see step 5). Remove all 13 chrome tabs from the chrome grille surround. Page 2 of 6

3 5. Install the supplied upper mounting brackets onto the top corners of the factory chrome or painted surround (right side shown) reusing the factory screws. 7. Install the lower center mounting bracket over the factory studs and reinstall the factory 10mm hex nuts and torque them to 48 inch pounds. Do not over tighten the hex nuts. 6. Remove the six (6) 10mm hex nuts located across the bottom of the grille opening. 8. Install the lower outer mounting brackets over the factory studs and reinstall the factory 10mm hex nuts and torque them to 48 inch pounds. Do not overtighten the hex nuts. Page 3 of 6

4 9. Use a 1/8 drill bit to drill through the holes in the outer mounting brackets. 11. Align the factory chrome or painted surround back onto the vehicle, making sure all lower clips engage and the upper mounting brackets are underneath the factory mounting tabs. 10. Install the supplied small black plastic washers and #8 x ½ black truss head screws into the holes drilled in the previous step. Use a high quality sealer on the screw threads to prevent corrosion. 12. Install the supplied ¼-20 U-nuts onto the upper outer brackets attached to the factory chrome or painted surround. Install the supplied ¼-20 x 1 hex bolts to secure the top of the surround to the vehicle. Page 4 of 6

5 13. Unclip the factory emblem from the factory grille insert. Align the factory emblem onto the black laser cut grille, making sure all mounting tabs pass through the openings in the grille. 15. Align the laser cut grille over the mounting brackets installed previously. Reinstall the factory screws removed in Step 1 (hand tighten). Reach down through the openings in the top of the grille and install the supplied ¼-20 x 1 hex bolts into the lower mounting brackets and tighten. 12. Install the supplied.156 x 3/16 long vinyl tubing to the upper mounting tabs on the back of the factory emblem. Press down on the tubing until it contacts the back of the grille and the emblem is tight against the surface of the grille. 16. Perfectly center the grille from side to side and front to back and tighten all mounting hardware. Remove masking tape and close the hood to finish. Page 5 of 6

6 This completes the laser cut grille installation. QUALITY ASSURANCE CHECKLIST Items to inspect; Check the gap around grille, make sure it is even side to side and top to bottom and gaps are uniform across the length of the grille, + - 2mm side to side tolerance. Check that all hardware is tight & lower bracket nuts are torqued at 48 in. lbs. Page 6 of 6
