2 PRODUCT RANGE GENERAL PURPOSE FILTERS Filters in the four series shown are primarily used directly before the air component that it protects. The filters in each series are outstanding in their ability to remove contaminating water emulsions, and particulate removal down to 5 microns. Specially designed porous, plastic filter elements with a 5 micron rating are standard in all units. Filters are most economically selected by fitting them to the required air flow at an acceptable pressure drop. COALESCING FILTERS Master Pneumatic developed these filters for use in compressed air systems with aftercoolers, air dryers, and receivers having outlet temperatures lower than 125 F (52 C). Coalescing filters remove 99.98% of oil as well as all solid contaminates standard larger than 0.3 micron, optional 0.01 micron. Well suited for final filtration to prevent contamination of air gauging fixtures, unlubricated valves and cylinders, and paint spray systems. The Master Pneumatic Range of Products 144 GENERAL PURPOSE REGULATORS Design parameters that reflect a blend of performance characteristics to best meet the needs of industry are found in the many series of pressure regulators that Master Pneumatic offer. Air flow, accuracy of pressure settings, variations in air flow and supply pressure, regulated pressure ranges, response time, repeatability, sensitivity and relief capacity, physical size and cost were all major considerations in their design. Pilot operated regulators are available for applications where hands on is not possible or there are safety issues. SEMI-PRECISION REGULATORS Recommended on applications where near-instrument quality pressure control is required at a relatively low cost. A large diaphragm area allows greater sensitivity and adjustment resolution than available with standard miniature pressure regulators. A smaller valve seat results in greater precision and less regulated pressure variation with variations in supply pressure. LUBRICATORS Master Pneumatic manufacturer both wick-feed and sight-feed lubricators. Each design has unique operating principles, benefits and features. In a wick-feed lubricator, a porous bronze wick is saturated with oil by capillary attraction. Oil is stripped off the wick by air flow in a constant oil-to-air ratio. The design is essentially self-adjusting, however, oil delivery can also be varied by manual adjustment. Units will not shut off or clog, even with dirt and moisture in the reservoir. In the sight feed lubricator, air flows through an automatic flow sensor which creates a slight pressure differential between the air passage and the oil reservoir. This causes oil to move up a riser tube, through the adjustable metering valve and to drip into a transparent nylon sight feed dome. Sight feed lubricators are easy to adjust, visibly show how much oil is being dispensed and can be filled under pressure. Adjusting knob can be removed to make the lubricator tamper-resistant. All working parts are in an easily replaceable cartridge. For precision lubrication refer to SERV-OIL lubrication section. INTEGRAL FILTER/REGULATORS These units are essentially the same performance characteristics and features of individual filters and regulators, but provide economy of size and a lower cost. They are particularly useful where horizontal space is limited. Reliable, internal, automatic drains are available for all sizes and series. Gauge and two regulator ports are standard. Self-relieving regulators are standard, non-relieving models are optional. RELIEF VALVES Designed to prevent the over-pressurisation of pneumatic components and systems. The standard model has a relief point adjustable though a range of of approximately 1 to 140 PSI (0.07 to 9.7 bar). Maximum relief flows range from 10 to 30 SCFM, with a pressure override ( differential ) of 10 to 15 PSI (0.7 to 1 bar). Minimum relief flow is 5 cc/minute. Mounting brackets, panel mount nuts and gauges are other options. A locking adjustment knob is standard.

3 PRODUCT RANGE SCORPION PRECISION COOLANT DELIVERY SYSTEM SCORPION is a compact, pneumatically controlled system for delivery of coolant to cutting edges in precisely controlled amounts and frequency. It is a cost-effective solution to the waste management problems created by flood coolants. When used in machining and grinding operations the Scorpion directs a precise amount of coolant and air directly onto the tools cutting surfaces. With the optional blowoff feature, compressed air can be programmed to remove chips, cool the workpiece, and clean the area between applications of coolant. Injection of coolant and the air blowoff feature operate independently for flexible control. On/off control is either manual or solenoid operated, the latter allowing Scorpion to be interfaced with external electronic controls. SERV-OIL LUBRICATION SYSTEM SERV-OIL is the most advanced system for the precision lubrication of pneumatic equipment. It has been used for over thirty years to provide lubrication to all kinds of pneumatic equipment, fixtures, bearings, slides, and ways. It overcomes the control problems encountered with conventional mist lubricators. It also ensures proper lubrication of pneumatic components in complex circuits, and delivers lubricant to points at long distances from the lubricator. Positive-displacement oil injectors (Servo-Meters) are the heart of SERV-OIL equipment. They put precise amounts of oil right at the points where lubrication is needed. By comparison, old-fashioned mist lubricators are less effective. Extensive tests have shown that when a conventional mist lubricator is installed upstream of a control valve, nearly all oil dispensed by the lubricator is exhausted to atmosphere through the exhaust port of the control valve. This is highly inefficient, and also contributes significantly to pollution of plant air. With SERV-OIL the amount of oil used is greatly reduced and lubrication is more effective because of the accuracy with which the oil is delivered. Filenco Dryer / Filter units succeed where conventional dryers and filters fail by reducing the dew point because of their triple action cleaning process. Where temperatures vary and/or applications are critical, Master Pneumatic - Filenco clean air products are designed to filter air, drop the pressure dew point and remove oil mist. 1. When installed at the exhaust ports of pneumatic valves, they capture 90% to 95% of the exhausted lubricants. They also reduce valve exhaust noise to 80 to 85 dba under standardised, steady-state test conditions, and to 106 to 108 dba under peak impact noise conditions.
