2 Aftermarket Parts Warranty. Meritor warrants all new parts to the buyer against defective material or workmanship (but not against damage caused by accident, abuse or improper installation, maintenance or repair) when such parts are used on vehicles the specifications of which have been approved by our Engineering department. The extended warranties do not apply to wheel assemblies with wide-base tires and 2.00 outset wheel rims, unless the wheel assemblies are installed on Meritor Dualtrac axles. As the exclusive remedy under this warranty, we will replace such parts free of charge prepaid. Meritor reserves the right to ask for images or return of nonconforming parts. If it is necessary to return any parts under this warranty for inspection, Meritor agrees to pay return freight charges. THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITION, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Temper-Loc precision single-locking nut system provides bearing adjustment with pinpoint accuracy; each Temper-Loc nut is manufactured to ultra-tight machining tolerances. The nut system sets optimal wheel-end preload maximizing tire life and vehicle uptime. With its unique chamfered mounting face, Temper-Loc is the exclusive spindle nut used in conjunction with the Doctor Preload bearing adjustment tool. And if wheel seals fail, wheel-end performance may be diminished, ultimately leading to costly repairs and downtime. The leading cause of premature wheel-seal failure is damage to the seal during installation. Meritor wheel seals not only provide outstanding lubricant retention and protection against contaminants, but they are also easier to install, which significantly decreases the potential for damage during installation. The multi-zone labyrinth design and low-friction barrier deliver unmatched durability and protection against dirt, grime, water and other contaminants. The bumper transmits the fitting force from the front of the seal to the outer diameter, and acts as the first defense against contaminants. The multi-zone labyrinth features low-profile section right-angle corners, a low-friction barrier, two rubber wipers and a specifically formulated waterproof grease for superior protection. Our Standard wheel seals feature a nitrile compound rubber (NBR) for the sealing lip.
