Fully Automatic Compression Testing Machine 2000 KN capacity, fully Automatic Electrically Operated for testing specimens of concrete cubes & cylinders, cold crushing strength of refractory and other materials. The machine should consist of loading unit,- pumping unit, calibrated gauges, Computer System with software and should confirm to IS Vee Bee Consistometer As per IS 119 consisting or vibrating table 380mm long and 260mm wide. Resting upon elastic support at a height of about 305mm above the floor Complete with start/stop switch, cord and plug. A holder is fixed to the base into which a swivel arm is telescoped with funnel and guide sleeve. The swivel arm is also detachable from the vibrating table. A graduated rod is fixed on a swivel arm and at its end a plastic

Laboratory Vane Shear Apparatus Consisting of a torque head, adjustable in height by means of a lead screw rotated by a drive wheel to enable the vane to be lowered into the specimen. Rotation of the vane is by means of an electric motor which operates a worm gear arrangement turning the upper end of a calibrated torsion spring. The vane shaft is attached through the hollow upper shaft to a resettable

6 pointer which indicates the angle of torque on a dial graduated in degrees. The rate of rotation should be 1/60 rpm. Infra Red Moisture Meter The equipment should consists of heating element, thermometer (L shaped) and bulb. The capacity and sensitively should be 10g approx and 5mg approx respectively. The range of the stuff gauge should lie in 0-1g. the reading accuracy should be +/- 0.20%. The range of thermoregulation should be C. The diameter of scale pan should be 100mm. 21. Standard Tar Viscometer Consisting of a chrome plated copper bath, with a drain valve and a central tube to receive the test cup and to position the stirrer, and is mounted on a stand with leveling feet. Stirrer has a curved shield and is provided with an insulated handle, thermometer socket and a swivel support for the valve. Supplied complete with 10 mm cup and ball valve 24. Say Bolt Viscometer It should comprises one each of cylindrical oil cup, universal tip, furol tip, bath fitted with immersion heater mounted on a stand, dimmer stat for temperature control, stirrer with

The speed can be adjusted with the help of mechanical lever fitted on main frame. 29. Vertical Asphalt Mixing Apparatus The equipment should consist of main frame, variable speed mixer, elevating

The elevating system consists of a motor, worm gear, up right column, guide bar and stopper block and the heating pot has a double lever metal pot, conduction coil and electrical heater. A capillary tube should be introduced centrally in the bell mouth for feeding dye from a small container placed at the top of tank,

13 through polythene tubing. 34. Pitot Tube Ellipsoidal head, an intake for total pressure and 6 holes for static pressure, sheated thermometer K probe integrated, with connection cable length 1.5m. Body made of stainless steel 35. Universal Current Meter The equipment should consists of a streamlined body which houses the sensing mechanism, an encapsulated reed switch, and the horizontal axis propeller shaft which has a permanent magnet mounted on it. The current mater should be provided with a calibration certificate and rating table. 36. Searls Apparatus The apparatus should comprise of two metal frames connected by a link mechanism carrying a sprit level. Supplied complete with ceiling bracket having itself a pair of chucks similar to those on the frame, counter poise weight and set of suitable wires, without slotted masses. The wire under test is

14 held in self centering steel chucks capable of holding wires of 1.mm diameter (18SWG).A micrometer head reading to 0.01mm is provided for readjusting the spirit level. 37. Beam deflection Apparatus The main frame of the apparatus should consists of an upper cross member carrying graduated scales and two lower members bolted to T - legs to form a rigid assembly. The three load cells and cantilever - support pillar slide along the lower members and can be clamped firmly in any position. The load cells should have direct digital read out and each should be fitted with a hardened steel knife edge which can be adjusted to set the intial level or to simulate a sinking support. Locking pins should convert

15 each load cell to a rigid support when required. The cantilever support should be a rigid pillar with a sturdy clamping arrangement to hold the beams when built-in end conditions are required. Four weight hangers and a set of weights should be supplied to apply static loads. Three digital indicators should measure all beam deflections. The indicators should mount on magnetic carriers that slide along the upper cross member. The indicators, carriers, load cells and weight hangers should all have cursors that register on the scale (located on the upper cross member) to ensure easy, accurate positioning. All digital indicators and load cells should have sockets for connection.
