3 CONSTRUCTION * BED, COLUMN AND SADDLE: The bed, column, and saddle are composed of Meehanite GA-50 grade cast iron, which includes very high dampening characteristics. The one piece bed casting and column are stress relieved to ensure machine geometry is maintained throughout the life. Wide spacing of the linear guide ways ensures optimal support for the table and saddle in full travel of each axis. Heavily ribbed castings provide superior dampening for high speed machining and aggressive milling. The mating surfaces of all critical contact points including the column, linear bearing blocks, linear guide ways, and table surfaces are fully ground to optimize fit and accuracy. * GUIDE WAYS: The X & Y axis are standard with heavy-duty 35 mm linear guide ways while the Z axis is standard with 45 mm linear guide ways. The guide ways are widely spaced (X 357 mm, Y 752 mm, Z 436 mm) to eliminate table pitch and deformation. The X axis guide ways are inverted allowing the bearing blocks to remain centered under the spindle promoting additional rigidity while cutting. All the guide ways are placed against ground shoulders to maximize rigidity and geometry. * SPINDLE: The permanently greased 70 mm spindle bearings require no maintenance. The 8,000 rpm spindle is driven by a 24/15 HP (18/11 kw) AC servo motor. 15,000 rpm spindle is an option. The four 70 mm ceramic spindle bearings help with the concern of thermal growth on the 15,000 rpm spindle. Rigid tapping is standard. * BALL SCREWS AND AXIS DRIVES: Each axis is driven using a high precision, fully ground ball screw. Each of the axes ball screws are double anchored to allow exceptionally fast feedrates. All the ball screws are supported using angular contact thrust bearings and are perfectly centered between the linear guide ways. The 32 mm ball screws are driven directly using direct-coupled AC servo type drive motors eliminating vibration, noise, and backlash. * AUTOMATIC TOOL CHANGER: The 24 pocket double arm ATC provides reliable tool changes. * FULLY ENCLOSED MACHINE ENCLOSURE: The machine enclosure is made of heavy duty sheet metal to contain the chips and coolant. The entire machine is fully enclosed. The removable side doors allow direct access to the inside of the machine. The front door opening (45") allows for easily loading and unloading of work pieces. * FLOOD COOLANT SYSTEM: A dedicated flood pump provides high volume coolant to the machine tool. The coolant nozzles are fully adjustable to accommodate various tool lengths. The 70 gallon coolant tank provides adequate capacity for any application. * LUBRICATION: Automatic lubrication is provided to the linear guide ways and ball screws via way oil. Oil is delivered by metered valves, which precisely control the volume. A low-level alarm on the CNC warns the user preventing possible damage to the guide ways and ball screws. * CHIP REMOVAL: A single, 4" pitch chip auger removes the chips efficiently from the machine * EDIT KEY: The edit key enables protection of programs as well as parameters of the 8200-B CNC control. Removal of the key limits a user from loading programs and parameters such as work coordinates and tool offsets. With the edit key in the off position the data in the CNC control is available for editing. VM22, Page 3 of 10

10 LIMITED WARRANTY ON ALL NEW MILLTRONICS MANUFACTURING COMPANY MACHINES Marketed under the commercial name of Milltronics Manufacturing Company. This warranty does not apply to equipment manufactured and sold by the International Machine Tools or Partner Machines divisions of Milltronics Manufacturing Company. Such equipment has a separate limited warranty. United States and Canada Shipments Milltronics Manufacturing Company, Inc. ( Milltronics or Company ) warrants all of their CNC machines ( Machines ) and the Milltronics CNC Systems supplied with these Machines shall be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service for a period of one year beginning 30 days from the date of shipment from Milltronics. This warranty is limited to all factory supplied parts and accessories as indicated on the original purchase order as accepted by Milltronics. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only or the original end user if the equipment is financed by a third party ( Buyer ). Warranty is not transferable. Labor necessary to repair failures due to normal wear, workmanship, or through normal use during this warranty period shall be obtained by Buyer from the local distributor or dealer and is not the responsibility of Milltronics. Milltronics liability for breach of warranty shall arise only upon the return of the defective parts at Buyer s expense after notice to Milltronics of claimed breach, and shall be limited to replacing or repairing, at Milltronics option, at its factory, any of said articles which shall within one (1) year after shipment be returned to Milltronics factory of origin, transportation charges prepaid, and which are, after examination, disclosed to Milltronics satisfaction to be defective. Notice to Milltronics of claimed defects discoverable by inspection must be given in writing within ten (10) days after receipt of shipment. Milltronics will pay outbound shipping charges on warranty parts. Outbound shipping method to be determined by Milltronics. Associated costs such as Duties, Taxes and Customs Brokerage are not covered under this warranty. Return freight of defective items is not included unless pre-approved in writing by authorized personnel. This warranty shall not apply to any of such articles which shall have been repaired or altered, except by Milltronics, or which shall have been subjected to misuse, negligence, or accident. The aforementioned provisions do not extend the original warranty period of any articles, which have either been repaired or replaced by Milltronics. Neither the Machines nor the Milltronics CNC Systems warranty will cover parts that are damaged or have failed due to abuse, improper operation, weather, acts of God, terrorism or shipping. No Milltronics warranty covers damage to fixtures, tools, or parts, regardless of the cause of this damage. Accessories not supplied by Milltronics are not covered under this warranty, and any alterations to the Machines or Milltronics CNC Systems done by other than Milltronics' authorized personnel, unless approved by Milltronics' personnel in writing, shall void any warranties. EXCEPT AS SET FORTH IN ABOVE, THE COMPANY MAKES NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE MACHINES OR THE CENTURION CNC SYSTEMS, OR THEIR CONDITION, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR USE BY CUSTOMER. THE COMPANY FURNISHES THE ABOVE WARRANTIES IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. MILLTRONICS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY (A) SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THIS WARRANTY, THE BREACH OF ANY AGREEMENT OR ORDER OR THE OPERATION OR USE OF THE MACHINES OR CENTURION CNC SYSTEMS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES ARISING FROM DAMAGE TO FIXTURES, TOOLS, PARTS OR MATERIALS, LOSS OF DATA OR PROGRAMMING, DIRECT OR INDIRECT LOSS CAUSED BY THE DISTRIBUTOR OR DEALER REPRESENTATIVE, LOSS OF REVENUE OR PROFITS, FAILURE TO REALIZE SAVINGS OR OTHER BENEFITS, DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT, FINANCING OR INTEREST CHARGES, AND CLAIMS AGAINST CUSTOMER BY ANY THIRD PERSON, EVEN IF MILLTRONICS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES; (B) DAMAGES (REGARDLESS OF THEIR NATURE) FOR ANY DELAY OR FAILURE BY THE COMPANY TO PERFORM ITS OBLIGATIONS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT DUE TO ANY CAUSE BEYOND THE COMPANY'S REASONABLE CONTROL; OR (C) CLAIMS MADE A SUBJECT OF A LEGAL PROCEEDING AGAINST THE COMPANY MORE THAN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER ANY SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION FIRST AROSE. The validity, construction and performance of this warranty and any sale made by Milltronics shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflicts of laws provisions of any jurisdiction and any action related in any way to any alleged or actual offer, acceptance or sale by Milltronics or any claim related to performance or agreement or warranty by Buyer or Milltronics shall be venued in federal or state district court in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
