3 EATURES General Characteristics According to the international standard IEC the CE- switchboards are classified for loss of service continuity category as LSC2. The optional version CE-A is foreseen fully withstanding to internal arc fault: Internal arc classification (IAC) Accessibility type: Earthing Circuit-breaker: earthing of circuit-breaker is ensured on the whole isolating stroke by means of a sliding jaw type contact on the copper conductor which is directly connected with the earthing bus-bar. The switch is activated with an high speed rotating snap, sized to conduct the rated short circuit making current when close to under load. Mechanical protection (IP20) form live parts even with door open is always maintained with circuit breaker in connected and disconnected position. This compartment contains the main bus-bars which are directly supported by the lower fixed isolating contacts of the circuit-breakers and isolator supports fixed on the structure. E Wiring duct for interconnections On the cubicle roof front side, a wiring duct is provided to hold the auxiliary connections between the various cubicles and towards the external installation. Voltage transformer compartment (VT compartment) This compartment can contain the VTs and related fuses, it can be provided in fixed or drawout version. The drawout compartment version, allows an easy replacement, with the switchboard out of service. The optional version of drawout compartment, is equipped with insulated bushing and shutter from feeder compartment and this, it allows the replacement of VTs and fuses in safety condition even with the switchboard in service. This compartment can be provided on all unit configuration 6 7
