4 AUTOMATIC PACKAGING MACHINES 4 AVM 200 IC The AVM 200 IC is the most compact Audion vertical form, fill and seal machine. This bagger is ideal for the packaging of parts and other small items in bags; reducing material costs and increasing production speed. The AVM 200 IC is specially designed to work in conjunction with an optional feeding system, for increased production speed and productivity. A special discharge conveyor is also available for workplace efficiency, taking the packed product from the machine up to table height. The AVM 200 IC is equipped with PLC controlled impulse seal bars to ensure perfect sealing of polyethylene bag material. The complete machine is operated by a PLC with touch screen that can store up to 50 different programs. The total height of the machine is only 960 mm, which makes it capable of fitting next to a work bench. The operator manually fills the conveyor slots, the conveyor automatically dispenses the product into the AVM 200 IC, and the counter increments upon detection of the part in the bagger. When the set number of products is counted, the machine automatically seals the bag and the discharge conveyor moves one section forward. The discharge conveyor can also be used as a support for bagging heavy products. 5 5 AUTOMATIC PACKAGING MACHINES AVM 190 The AVM 190 is a small, fully automatic vertical form, fill, and seal machine. It automatically forms a bag, allows it to be filled with product, and then seals and separates the finished package. The AVM 190 can be used to pack many different products, such as granules, powders, liquids, and solids. The low height of the machne (less than 1200 mm) means that product feeding can be done manually or by means of a fully automatic dosing system, which Audion can supply. The AVM 190 is available in a range of version and can be equipped with a variety of options to suit your needs. The AVM 190 is equipped with multipurpose seal bars. These seal bars allow the AVM 190 to work with a wide range of packaging materials, including polypropylene, laminates, and polyethylene. The AVM 190I is specially designed for applications where polyethylene (PE) material is used. The AVM 190I is able to seal PE at higher speeds than the AVM 190, using its impulse seal jaws. The AVM 190I also features the ability to set the cool down temperature, giving the seal the necessary strength to hold the weight of product in the bag. The AVM 190I gives a fast, high integrity seal even with thick materials. The AVM 190 HS is the High Speed version in the AVM 190 range, able to achieve a production speed of 80 bags/min. The AVM 190 HS has 12 mm wide horizontal heat seal bars, pneumatically-adjustable film transport belts, and a touch screen operator interface. The AVM 190 HS is also available with stainless steel wash down construction (IP 65 classification), making it extremely suitable for the harsh environment of the food industry. The AVM 190 SERVO is a high performance vertical form, fill, and seal machine. The AVM 190 SERVO is able to achieve a production rate of over 100 bags/min. Using servo driven horizontal seal bars, this machine achieves a high production speed without compromising seal integrity. The AVM 190 SERVO has 12 mm wide horizontal heat seal bars, pneumatically-adjustable film transport belts, and a touch screen operator interface. 7 7 AUTOMATIC PACKAGING MACHINES AVM 280 & AVM 320/350 The AVM 280 is designed to make bags with a width of up to 280 mm and a volume of up to 6 liters. This robust fully automatic vertical form, fill and seal machine is available in a heat seal version for PP and laminates (AVM 280H) and an impulse seal version for PE materials (AVM 280I). The AVM 280 is programmed by a PLC with touch screen. This PLC can also operate the dosing system as well as the feeding and discharge conveyor, creating complete packaging system control at your fingertips Specially designed for the harsh environment of the food industry, we have the AVMS 280. This machine has a stainless steel wash down construction and IP 65 classification. For the potato industry as well as for other delicate products such as oranges, Audion has developed the AVM inclined machine. The product is dropped in the bag through a filling chute which is placed at an angle of 60, minimizing product damage. In addition, this machine is able to work with mesh material (such as CLAF fabric). The AVM 280/320/350 can also be built with servo driven horizontal seal bars. The accurate control of the servo motor increases the production speed, without compromising performance. The result is a very fast and smooth running AVM 280/320/350. In addition, when small bags are required, the opening of the seal bars can be easily be reduced by means of the touch screen, considerably increasing production capacity. When wider bags are required the AVM 280 can be extended to the AVM 320 for impulse seal and 350 mm for the heat seal machine. This machine can make bags up to 320/350 mm wide with a contents of approx. 10 litres. The AVM 320/350 is also available as a stainless steel AVMS 320/350. 9 9 AUTOMATIC PACKAGING MACHINES AVM 450/550 SERVO The AVM 450 SERVO is Audion s largest fully automatic vertical form, fill and seal machine. The AVM 450 Servo can make bags with a width of up to 450 mm and volume of 40 liters. If a wider bag is necessary, the machine can be extended to make bags with a width of up to 550 mm. The AVM 450 SERVO features PLC controlled impulse sealing system for increased seal integrity. There is also a user friendly touch screen interface that can also control the dosing system (including auger filler, conveyor belt, and volumetric doser). Film loading on the AVM 450 SERVO is quick and easy, using the specially designed reel holder. Once the film is placed on the reel holder, the end can be taped or sealed to the last piece of the previous roll for a rapid film changeover. The vertical seal is made by a 600 mm long seal bar. If bags with a length of more than 600 mm are required, the seal bar can be replaced with an optional continuous belt. For liquids we have pumps, for powders an auger, and for extremely free flowing products we can supply a volumetric cup dosing system. Linear scale Auger filler Linear scale The Audion linear scale consists of a weigh bucket with two feeding lanes (fine and coarse). The product is transported from a storage hopper to the weigh buckets by vibration.
