8 Rail Assembly Step 1. Marking outer rail (A) For a trapped installation, drill with 1/4 drill bit Mark the back side of the railing 2 from the bottom and the top. Then mark every 16 throughout the remaining length of the rail. All markings should rest in 2 from top the center channel of the rail. and bottom (B) For a face mount installation, drill with a 2 step/piloted drill bit (size 5/8 Drill with 1/4, Pilot 5/16 P/L) Top Bottom 16 Between Step 2. Drilling holes in outer Rail For recessed installation use 1/4 drill bit. For face mount installation refer to (B) in step 1. (2 From top, 2 from bottom and 16 between each hole from bottom hole throughout the full length of the track.) Step 3. Marking inner track A. Place inner track inside outer rail, insuring the bottom is flush as shown in image a. The inner track should extend 1/8 beyond the outer rail. B. Mark 3 from the top and bottom centered on both side on the inner track as shown in the b. From the bottom up mark every 36 inches Step 4. Drilling holes through outer rail and inner A. Using a #36 drill bit create pilot holes in each marked location created in step 4 while both inner track and outer rail are joined. Make sure the bottom is flush. Bottom a. 36 (Dill 3 from bottom and top. Then 36 between each hole starting after bottom 3 hole.) Step 5. Insert foam Remove inner track and Insert a 4 foam strip center between each pair of side by side holes. Remove the paper strip from 4 foam pieces and place the adhesive side of the foam on the rail itself. (See a. and b.) Mark inner track both sides 3 Bottom b. Inner Track Outer Rail B. 9 Rail Assembly Step 6. Entry Guide Place plastic entry guild on top side on inner track. Place open side on first then tilt downward on until entry guide in set in place. Use a 6X 1 flat head sheet metal screw to connect the entry guide to the inner track. Step 7. Track Mating Insert inner track into outer rail, resting it on the black foam. Be sure to line the drilled holes up. Check that the bottom is flush and that the inner track extends 1/8 above the outer rail on top Hardware Needed: A. #6x1 flat head sheet metal screws (amount based on length.) B. 11 Bracket Assembly Step 2. Connect the Mini Motor Mounting Bracket (#AC03-04) to Universal Bracket Plate (#AC03 50), using (4 ) M6x1mmx15mm Screws and (4) Hex Nuts M6. Note: This is for the motor side of the installation. Step 3. Connect the Idler Bearing Cradle (#AC03-40) to Universal Bracket Plate (#AC03 50), using (4 ) M6x1mmx15mm Screws and (4) Hex Nuts M6. 12 Motor & Motor Tube Assembly Attach Inner Motor Tube Sections to Outer Motor Tube For Idler Side Step 1 Mark 7 from edge of Outer Motor Tube section at the round spline channel 7 Step 2 Using 1/2 drill bit, drill pilot hole through OUTER WALL of Outer Tube ONLY at round spline channel. Do not drill through bottom of spline channel. Step 3 On Idler side, insert idler into inner tube, secure with four 3/16 rivets on the 4 side of the tube. Step 4 Insert inner tube into outer tube and ensure the inner tube rests 1/4 outside of outer tube. New Recessed Track system has an outer track that is 2.2 inches wide by 1.5 inches thick. 3.MaestroShield has the only extruded hood on the market. Our extruded hood is 66% thicker than sheet metal hoods, making it resistant to denting in shipping and handling, and impact resistant when installed. Our side caps, featuring deep galvanized steel threaded inserts for attaching the mounting plates, are 87% thicker than standard universal side caps. New Recessed Track system does not require a hood, but it is an available option. 4.The 5 1/2 inch hood assembly and small profile side rails are light weight and allow for quick and easy installation. 5.The 2-piece side track on the original system enables you to hide the mounting screws for a cleaner, more attractive appearance. 18 Warranty Statement and Return Policy WARRANTY STATEMENT Should there be evidence of a potential warranty issue within the specified warranty period, MaestroShield will follow its standard procedure to ensure that a new product is sent to the MaestroShield Dealer who originally purchased the product. The defective part must be returned to MaestroShield for evaluation within 30 days of the warranty replacement. Should more than 30 days elapse or should the product evaluation prove the malfunctioning of the product was the result of any aforementioned items, the Dealer will be notified of the point of failure and subsequently charged the cost of the replacement part. Electronics are covered by a Full 2 Year 100% Replacement Warranty. The following components are covered by a full 2 Year Replacement Warranty: Manual gears; universals; mounting plates; idlers; spring blocks; crown and drive gears; brush seals and gaskets; plastic parts (entry guides, conic stopper, hole caps). Tubular Motors with built-in receivers are covered by a Full 3 Year 100% Replacement Warranty. All other Tubular Motors are covered by a Full 5 Year 100% Replacement Warranty. Maestran is covered by a 7 year full warranty. RETURN POLICY Sale of ALL custom-made orders are final and are limited to repair or replacement (at our sole option) of included parts of the screen found to be defective under this Warranty Statement. In no event shall MaestroShield be liable for damages of any type, including, but not limited to: economic loss; or any indirect, punitive, special, incidental, or consequential damages of any type, including, but not limited to, time, wages or lost profits, of any nature or kind, or for damages to or loss of property, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. IMPORTANT Warranties do not cover any damage to MaestroShield products that result from improper installation, accident, abuse, misuse, natural disaster, insufficient or excessive electrical supply, abnormal mechanical or environmental conditions, lightning or any unauthorized disassembly, repair or modification. Warranties do not apply to any product on which the original identification information has been altered, obliterated or removed, has not been handled or packaged correctly, has been sold second hand or has been sold contrary to the United States export regulations without consent from MaestroShield.
