1 Parts and Accessories Installation Instructions Z Retrofit CD Changer MW 7 Series (E 65/E 66) The installation time is approx. 1.5 hours, but this may vary depending on the condition of the car and the equipment in it. Retrofit kit No to 9/ from 9/2 efore installing the retrofit kit, use the latest CIP application to ascertain the car's status and if necessary update the software in accordance with the action plan. 3 Important information The retrofit kit is for use within the MW dealership organisation only. Check the status of the control units using the CIP program (Coding, Individua-lising, Programming) before you install the retrofit. If the test detects incorrect statuses in one or more control units, these must be updated first using the update function. After the installation work the retrofit CD changer must be coded using DIS or MoDiC via the Retrofit path. Target group The target group for these installation instructions is specialist personnel trained on MW cars with specialist knowledge of vehicle electrical systems. Work: All servicing, repair and installation work on MW cars is completed at your own risk. All work must be completed using the latest MW repair manuals and circuit diagrams in a rational order using the prescribed tools (special tools) and observing current health and safety regulations. 8 5. To install and connect the CD changer wiring harness A1 Disconnect the grey plug X1454 from the fuse holder (1). Connect branch A1 to plug X1454 in PIN 3. Reconnect plug X1454 to the fuse holder (1). Connect fusible link F into slot 6 of the fuse holder (1). X1454 F Z Connect branch A5 to joint connector X98 which is the same colour. A5 X Z 1 2 Disconnect the R/SW cable (1) from plug X13665 PIN 1 and connect socket casing (2). Connect branch A2 in parallel between plug X13665 and the R/SW cable (1). 9 5. To install and connect the CD changer wiring harness X13836 Disconnect the incoming fibre optic cable from plug X13836 PIN 1 and connect branch A3. Connect plug X13836 to the MOST flash connection (1). A Z A4 1 2 Do not bend the fibre optic cable beyond its bending radius limit of 5 mm. Unlock the fibre optic cable connector (1) of branch A4 and connect the disconnected fibre optic cable (2) Z Retrofit kit No Installation Instructions No Issue date: EN/9

To install the CD changer Screw the cover (1) onto the CD-changer using Philips screws E. 1 E Z 2 2 Remove the transport guards (1) from the CDchanger and cover the openings with the adhesive patches provided. 1 Remove the covers (2) and set the adjustment mechanism to horizontal installation. Fit the covers (2) again. Screw the radio retaining pin D onto the CDchanger. D Z Connect branch A5 to the CD changer. A Z 1 2 Push the CD changer into the instrument panel (1) and use the Philips screws (2) provided to screw it on. AUTO Z Retrofit kit No Installation Instructions No Issue date: EN/1

11 7. Concluding work - Connect battery - Code the car using DISPlus or MoDiC III via path Retrofit. - Conduct a function test - Assemble the car following the instructions to dismantle it in reverse order Retrofit kit No Installation Instructions No Issue date: EN/11
