8 ELECTRICAL CONTROL BOX 1) EH (USED ON SP300) 3 This spiral lead to be hard wired into the main harness. 5 Red LED light Overall Length=4000mm Length=500mm Green LED light 1 2 This lead to be tagged remote. The plug on this lead will accommodate the optional part no. DM or DM NOTES ON OPERATION OF THE CONTROLLER SWITCH. 1. If the rocker switch is in the off position, the adjacent red LED light will illuminate. No feed will be supplied to the water pump. 2. 9 MOUNTING INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MOUNTING INSTALLATION The following instructions will assist in the installation of the cab mounted water tank assembly. 1. Measure the width of the cab (at the top) to determine which set of mounting holes to use when bolting the water tank to the mounting brackets. Loosely bolt the water tank to the tank mounting brackets while trying to maintain the required distance between the mounts. See Figure #1 FIGURE #1 WATER TANK MOUNTING BRACKETS MOUNTING BRACKET WIDTH OF CAB 2. Set the tank with mounting brackets onto the top of the skid steer loader cab. 3. After a centered location has been achieved, use the mounting brackets as a template and mark and drill eight.44 holes. (Four on each side of cab using the top or bottom mounting holes.) Secure the water tank to the cab using the.38 UNC X 2.00 capscrews and hard flat washers on both sides of the cab and the.38 lock washers and hex nuts on the inside. 5. Install the male coupler #30214 along with the hose barb #30213 to the water line on the attachment using the hose clamp #30227 provided. 6. The pump, fittings and hoses are installed onto the water tank at the factory. Check all fittings and hose clamps for tightness and correct installation. Refer to the water tank assembly parts pages. 9

10 MOUNTING INSTALLATION AND OPERATION 7. Route the water hose down the loader arm and secure to the loader arm with the hose ties supplied. NOTE: Route the electrical extension cable along with the water hose if connecting to an attachment that is equipped for a DIGGA multi-function control handle AND has a spare plug located near the deutsch connector (such as the DIGGA Road Profila). Connect extension cable to the spare plug. 8. When utilising the control box assembly supplied with your water kit, route the electrical extension cable down the side of the cab and up to the front of the cab. Connect the extension cable to the control box assembly supplied with the water tank kit. 9. If installing Kit # with the auxiliary outlet adapter, position the control box in a location accessible by the operator and check how much of the electrical wire harness is needed to reach the auxiliary outlet adapter when installed in the auxiliary power outlet (cigarette lighter) but do NOT install the adapter. Install the shrink wrap over the wire connection. After the shrink wrap is installed it is OK to plug the auxiliary outlet adapter into the auxiliary power outlet. 10. If not using the auxiliary outlet adapter, position the control box in a location accessible by the operator and connect the electrical wire harness to the battery of your unit. NOTE: The control box contains an LED light that is on when there is power to the pump. Do not shut off the skid steer with the switch in the ON position, this will continue to drain power from the battery. WARNING! When working around batteries, remember that all of the exposed metal parts are live. Never lay a metal object across the terminals, because a spark or short circuit may result. DANGER! BATTERY ACID CAUSES SEVERE BURNS. Batteries contain sulfuric acid. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Antidote: EXTERNAL - flush with water. INTERNAL - drink large quantities of water or milk. Follow with milk of magnesia, beaten egg or vegetable oil. Call physician immediately. EYES - flush with water for 15 minutes and get prompt medical attention. 11. Install the separate nozzle kit onto the attachment. (Not included in this assembly) 12. Connect the attachment and water kit couplers together to complete the circuit. Your water tank assembly installation is now complete. Operate the switch on the control box (part no. EH ) or on the multi-function control handle (part no. EH ) to activate the pump and supply water to the attachment. 10

11 MOUNTING INSTALLATION AND OPERATION FOR CNH CAB MOUNTED WATER KIT (TO SUIT CASE ALPHA SERIES/NEW HOLLAND 200 SERIES SKID-STEER LOADERS) MOUNTING INSTALLATION The following instructions will assist in the installation of the cab mounted water tank assembly. 1. Check to ensure that rubber edging is installed in three places on each mounting bracket to protect the top of the skid steer cab. Loosely bolt the water tank to the tank mounting brackets. See Figure #1 and Figure #2 FIGURE #1 FIGURE #2 MOUNTING BRACKETS RUBBER EDGING RUBBER EDGING BOLT THE WATER TANK TO THE TANK MOUNTING BRACKETS 2. Set the tank with the mounting brackets onto the top of the skid steer loader cab. Position the water tank so the back mounting hole is from the inside edge of the rear ROPS post of the cab. See Figure #3 FIGURE # WATER TANK POSITION THE BACK HOLES ON THE MOUNTING BRACKETS FROM THE INSIDE EDGE OF THE REAR POST OF THE CAB. FRONT OF CAB 3. After the correct location has been achieved, use the mounting brackets as a template and mark the four mounting holes. See Figure #4 FIGURE # USE BRACKETS AS A TEMPLATE-MARK FOUR MOUNTING HOLES 11

12 4. Drill four.53 holes through the outside wall only of the cab frame. NOTE: It is crucial that these mounting holes are.53 diameter and not oversized. 5. Remove the water tank and mounting brackets from the skid steer loader. 6. RIVET NUT INSTALLATION: a) Install the rivet nuts provided into the drilled mounting holes on the cab and install the hex nut provided onto the.38 grade 8 capscrew approximately 1 inch. See Sample in Figure #5 b) Position the installation tool over the top of the rivet nut and then install the capscrew into the rivet nut. See Sample in Figure #6 FIGURE #5 MOUNTING INSTALLATION AND OPERATION FOR CNH CAB MOUNTED WATER KIT (TO SUIT CASE ALPHA SERIES/NEW HOLLAND 200 SERIES SKID-STEER LOADERS) INSTALLATION CAPSCREW FIGURE#6 INSTALLATION SURFACE HEX NUT RIVET NUT INSTALLATION TOOL c) Snug up the hex nut finger tight against the installation tool. Using some type of marker, mark the hex nut at one point to use as a reference mark. See Sample in Figure #7 FIGURE #7 INSTALLATION TOOL FIGURE#8 INSTALLATION TOOL INSTALLATION SURFACE (USE A WRENCH TO PREVENT CAPSCREW FROM TURNING) d) Use one hand and a wrench to hold the capscrew and installation tool from turning. Use a second wrench to turn the nut clockwise three complete revolutions. (Use the reference mark on the hex nut as a guide to determine when three revolutions has been obtained.) See Sample in Figure #8 NOTE: Do not overtighten. Overtightening the hex nut will distort the rivet nut FIGURE #9 REFERENCE MARK e) Remove capscrew and installation tool. Rivet nut is now installed. Repeat this procedure in the remaining three mounting holes. See Samples in Figures #9 REMOVE CAPSCREW, NUT AND INSTALLATION TOOL REFERENCE MARK (CORRECTLY INSTALLED RIVET NUT) TOP BOTTOM SIDE 7. Position the water tank and mounting brackets onto the skid steer and secure the water tank to the cab using the.38 UNC X 1.50 grade 8 capscrews, lock washers and flat washers provided Install the male coupler #30214 along with the hose barb #30213 to the water line on the attachment using the hose clamp #30227 provided. 12

13 MOUNTING INSTALLATION AND OPERATION FOR CNH CAB MOUNTED WATER KIT (TO SUIT CASE ALPHA SERIES/NEW HOLLAND 200 SERIES SKID-STEER LOADERS) 9. The pump, fittings and hoses are installed onto the water tank at the factory. Check all fittings and hose clamps for tightness and correct installation. Refer to the water tank assembly parts pages. 10. Route the water hose down the loader arm and secure to the loader arm with the hose ties provided. NOTE: When operating the water tank with FIGURE #10 your CNH multi-function control handle, route the electrical extension cable # from the pump into the engine compartment of your skid steer loader and connect the cable to the spare plug located on the left side of the engine compartment. See Figure #10. NOTICE: BE SURE TO ROUTE CABLE AWAY FROM ANY POTENTIALLY HOT SURFACES. NOTE: When using the CNH multi-function control handle the pump is operated by the switch shown in Figure #11. When utilising the control box assembly supplied with your water kit, route the electrical extension cable down the side of the cab and up to the front of the cab. Connect the extension cable to the control box assembly supplied with the water tank kit. 12. Position the control box in a location accessible by the operator and connect the electrical wire harness to the battery of your unit.
