2 DORMA EML-1000M Electromagnetic Lock The DORMA EML-1000M Series Grade 1 electromagnetic locks secure the most demanding openings with 1650 lb of holding force. This lock is ideal for openings that require extra security and the ability to integrate a lock with any access control system. The lock design incorporates an advanced steel core that does not require unsightly epoxy. When designing the complete opening, the DORMA electromagnetic locks can be integrated with other DORMA electronic components such as the ED800 low energy operator. See individual product brochure for details. Maximum holding power - The EML-1000M Series locks meet or exceed 1650 lb of holding force to the separation point. In many doors, this strength holds against a force strong enough to deform or destroy the door before the lock is forced open. The DORMA EML-1000M locks are built and tested according to ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 criteria. Positive fail-safe security and safety without moving parts - Positive, instantaneous fail-safe operation is guaranteed, without moving parts to bind or wear. Because it doesn t have bolt, strike, or mechanical interactions of any kind, mechanical jamming or failure of the magnetic lock is not possible. The 1000M Series magnetic locks will release immediately when deenergized by the fire life safety system or via remote control. Fast and easy installation - No special tools or installation knowledge is required. The interlocking mounting plate design provides frame reinforcement for integrity and quick mounting with standard screws. Mounting accuracy is assured with the field installation template. The lock snaps on prior to the mounting screws being tightened. Durable, maintenance-free - Without moving parts, the magnets will not wear down. 8 DORMA EML-2070 Electromagnetic Gate Locks The EML-2070 Series Grade 1 electromagnetic gate locks have surpassed 1200 pounds of direct holding power in laboratory tests. The EML-2070 design combines security, high performance, weatherresistance and professional appearance. The floating armature design compensates for minor misalignment with the electromagnet and makes the EML-2070 Series ideal for outdoor automatic, manual sliding, and swinging gates.
